It's nothing like that, it's just that there's usually only one black character per season so that's why there aren't many pairings with 2 black characters, besides the couples that I like are character driven, I don't care the color of their skin!

Zack/Angela pairing I didn't like because she was usually mean to him, so I didn't put them here. I love Aisha and Rocky (and there wasn't any black guy as a love interest for her).

Tanya's ex-boyfriend was an ass and Adam and her make one of the most beautiful couples in PR.

I don't have a pairing for TJ, Damon or Kathie... It's not my fault that Joel was in love with Angela! Or that Ethan and Jack dated a blond girl!

I don't see the reason why the color of their skin should be a problem! If there's one thing that PR has always tried to do was to unify all the races, go against racism and, no offense, but your comment seems a little bit racist.

@fmcneillii 1st: I didn't mean to offend you, so forgive me if I did.

2nd: as I said before, there aren't enough black characters to put 2 as a couple, I don't know if that's deliberate or just a coincidence, but, again, the cast is multi racial so I think that most of the couples in PR are IR, whether I like them (so they're featured on this video) or not.

I couldn't tell about other shows, but from many films I've watched I've always got the impression that the black characters are always paired with black or dark-skinned characters, like latins. That's why I've always found refreshing that in PR they didn't necessarily pair up their characters with someone from the same race as a way to show that the color of our skin isn’t important but who we are inside. At least that’s the message I got, perhaps I’m being naïve?

@SamuelleNikita It's actually much more common to see main or significant black characters paired with non-black ones than black ones. If they are "black" they tend to be biracial with looks that could easily pass for latina. You see it A LOT in black music videos nowadays, the lead (and most of the supporting actors/dancers/characters) is very very often non-black. But I was just asking the question, great video regardless.

I wouldn't know what to tell you about that.

I think that, regardless what's shown on tv, in real life skin color shouldn't matter or if people are 'pure race' or biracial or whatever. Of course it doesn't mean that's wrong to be attracted to someone that looks like you or that you're racist if you do, science even explains why some people tend to be attracted to people that are physically similar to them... but I’m not going to start with a Genetics lecture! LOL

hahahahha. I know what you mean! I had a huge crush on Rocky at the time and as I was the Yellow Ranger I paired him up with Aisha, that way a part of me could be with him! LOL. I did the same the year before: I liked Zack so I paired him up with Trini! LOL. I still like lots of the guys in PR but I no longer pair them up with the Yellow Ranger ;).

A couple of years ago I was into the fanfiction world and there was this crazy fic where the SPD rangers where interviewed and you could ask the writer the questions you wanted the rangers to answer. At one point the questions and requests got so crazy that I asked the writer to introduce me in the fic and made me make out with Bridge! It was hilarious!!!!!! LOL

We have something in common, we both like pairs that aren't popular. Some of mine are even weird! We have the same in almost all of them, but here are the ones I would prefer.

I like Adam/Tanya but Adam/Kat :), I do like Cole/Taylor next to Cole/Alyssa, I don't really ship the Max/Alyssa, I like Conner/Kira but I would go to Conner/Krista. Sorry, big Bridge/Syd and Sky/Z fan. Xander/Madison and Chip/Vida.

1° There was nothing certain about Cole and Alyssa.

2° Leo at some point seemed to be with Kendrix but then he also was with Ginger and finally with Karone.

3° Kira was with Trent, not with Conner and you're not complaining, though perhaps you forgot.

4° I love Cole with Taylor, Leo with Maya, Fran with RJ and Lily with Casey, I don't care how things went on the show. In the summary it's clear that the video is about MY fav couples.
