So much knowledge i was attaining through this video but the end made me ignorant again. If preceptions are from the senses then the preceptions of god come from the senses as well? God or Allah is such an easy amswer to our question of reality. What is basic is clear what is more basic is more clear. Lets end our faith on meaningless gods and lets focus on the corruption of this world while we still have time to feel......
I've heard all this in college, but the one thing that they didn't bring out is that everything is made up of molecules and atoms, electrons, protons, etc.. and if you change a few molecules in a solid it can become a liquid or gas, and the same for a liquid or gas. It's all in how we perceive it. The sky isn't really blue it's just how we perceive the gas.
Our brain recives electrical signals from outher world and than read them. And if you do same thing but only with computer, brain will do the same thing. It doesent means taht outher world don't exist because we learnd to imitate it. It just mean that we can create a new reality to our brains, but we can do it only if we ourselves are on the real side. So, some "hard reality" exist independently from our brains. And that is perfectly normal thing. Brain job is to comprehend what is happening.
The loophole here is that we only know what the brain is and how it works by our experience and experimentation with it in the external world, not the internal one.
So if nothing is true about the external world, our understanding of the brain might not be true either.
We could just say that maybe we don't have brains.
Part 3 starts with what I just said. Nice. I liked it up to the part that went into spirits and Allah. While these videos showed that life as we know it can be an illusion, they can not prove those supernatural things.
Actually since everything we learn, including the soul and the teachings of religion, are learned in the external world. All of that could easily be an illusion too.
The only thing we know is that we can never know anything.
haha nice... i think this is all ridic... because reality is constant. Our brains perceive an X amount of that reality. Not the other away around. Reality isn't created by our brains.
Yeah I believe in the same thing you believe in. That there is a constant material reality beyond our brain. That's our assumption though, we can't prove or disprove it. It's our philosophy. Makes sense to me but if someone doesn't believe in a material reality beyond our brain...I can't really claim that's ignorant.
Warning; this film is not a science lesson. In the end you will see this is an opinion piece. Less theory, more conjecture to support a certain kind of idealism. I suppose there are those who could call it Propaganda, but I will leave it to others to debate that hypothesis.
i think this video freaked me out more than anything
