That's pretty much the atmosphere at the build sites I work at (I use to help my father installing glass doors, windows, etc.). The people there turns the radio on and everyone listens to shitty local country music or similar. Me and my father go Berserk. We have to hide the boredom...
I know how it feels, Kristen. You're not alone, I guess. :)
Lol, yeah, I think you either love country or you hate it if you get stuck in environments like that. If you love it, it's a great place to be. If you hate it, it's the worst place in the world.
I had considered a field trip to this particular establishment back when I was teaching Dante's Inferno and we were talking about our own ideas of what hell would be like, what would be the worst punishment we could think of. This is what I thought of. :)
Ah, there is the matter. I hate country, especially that stuff which retracts treason and shit, very common here in Brazil. I don't need to listen to that garbage in the shape of a music, honestly.
But we came with an idea: bring an MP3 player and set the earphones to hear some real music, a.k.a. rock. Cool, don't you think? :D
P.S.: There's a deleted comment by me below, due to typo. I fear letting typos. :S
I actually do that. It's the main way I use my iPod. :) This place, however, is so loud that I can still hear the blasted country over my own music. :(
The sound is very loud indeed. Considering the absurd noise, I guess the damn country would be heard over your music even if your iPod was at max volume, although you wouldn't even think about destroying your ears with it.
Hmmm, as if this country junk wasn't causing ear-bleeding already. xD
@woozerkristen2 Saw the video for Interrobang Mud On The Tires and was interested in hearing why you dislike country...I don't blame you. I guess I like it so much because I grew up listening to a lot of stuff as a child. sure hate that you have to suffer through this torture.

Ugh, I see the volume thing on your description.
