I'm skeptical of those who claim to get better sound from vinyl than from CD. In the sense that the CD produces a discreet signal that is a digital approximation of the original analog sound, one could argue that there will ALWAYS be error in the digital approximation. But I question whether the pure analog recording on vinyl is 'better' when the act of extracting the signal produces some level of noise. Between friction, static electricity, dust, scratches, how can vinyl compete?
I think you on the right track. I guess what I would say would be that live music..the actually singing/playing of the artist is created with various form of static, electricity, dust, and all other things that it take for the physical transfer of the vibrations of a human voice or acoustic gutiat to our ears. In that sense you could argue that vinyl is truer to sound. You do have some good thought out points though.
true. and I think that the almost perfect is more perfect,,like more dynamic sound. and that is more inportant than to be, perfect. easy to get boring then. for me anyway. but. the cd is not a bad idea at all.
