I never realized that emerald weapon's ultimate attack did damage based on how much materia you had equiped. I spent all this time mastering final attack revive, knights of the round, etc. I used quadramagic demi to do most of the damage to him. Even level 1 does 9999 damage to him, but it took so long to master all that materia.
actually on emerald you want to bring as little as materia as possible and materia you will use and be most effective. Emerald's attack power at base off how much materia you have equipped and trust me if you go in with a lot u might as well kiss ur ass goodbye.
i remember the first time i beat him i used a strategy to have 3 characters set up with 7777 hp and swapped them each out so i had 3 of them starting a fight with him with all 3 using the all lucky 7s buff. killed him before he could even fire off one storm attack ;)
I got 7777 with my whole party using demi2 and the cats bell. But i still can't beat this fucking thing! Help please this is the one boss I haven't beaten. I've been trying to beat this goddamn thing since I was 10, now im 24 reliving my childhood and still stuck arrrgh
@radujko KOTR, Mime. Simple as that. Otherwise there are some strategies you could try on Final Fantasy Wiki, and there are like 11 to choose from, or more.

@dambers100 Nope, it's pretty overpowered, and you can use hpup materia to manipulate your health, but it isn't required. It's just a lucky event that happens.

It does do 7777 damage if your at 7777 life. Interesting enough, though, after you stop hitting him (all 64 times of all lucky 7's), you can then launch KOTR. Have the other 2 party members use mimic and each KOTR hit will be 7777.
@2179Ragnarok you can only win it as a prize from chocobo racing or from betting on the races, (very random, you could get it quick or it could take forever. but you must race in the S or at least A class)
on a side note: KOTR is nice but it takes so long to cast, and it cant be linked with quadra magic, so at most you can only W-Summon it, I tend to avoid it because of its insanely long animation. i like to jack up with hero drinks and and pound away with 4X cut and mime limits when possible
@2179Ragnarok it does 1111 per materia equipped, so with 2 on one character if you are at full hp when he performs the attack it shouold bring you to 7777! i have never tried this though, i normally stack a lot of materia so it gets the ap and make sure i have final attack-pheonix on someone
JEEZ!!! How much HP does this thing have?! You do so much damage before-hand, then All Lucky 7's activates, he uses it so many times, doing 7,777 points of damage each time, and he's STILL there! Sheesh!
How the fuck can you get so much Gill and levels in so little time? Ive been playing for 70+ hours and Im only level 55 (cloud is anyway). Did you edit game files on the pc version or something, if not how do you level so quickly!!!!!
@Acetopy2 Level near Mideel once you get the tiny bronco with the rune armlets(double growth) from bone village. Head hunter groups give lots of AP and EXP to level your characters and materia. All-materia are easy to level, and a master-all sells for 1.4 million gil. Later, you can use Cloud's apocalypse and cids' scimitar (?) weapons to level materia for their triple growth, and the gelnika and the northern crater are great places to level up your materia/characters. Hope that helps. :)
@Bakakun28000 best to level on disc 1 it too fight wit the enemies near that place cloud gets sick on disc 2. U can get the tiny brocen to an island near that town. SO u can fight those green monster and u get. 3200 exp and 320 ap. PLus the double growt like u said u get 6400 exp insteed =)
@2kjimsan Oh definitely disc 1 is a good idea, before Temple of the Ancients: it makes materia leveling and boss fights infinitely easier later on. I also wanted to get Aerith to lv 99. Even with the double growth, its still insanely dull to level that early on (my games now at 52 hrs and I just lost Cloud o.o), and now the games a little too easy, so next play I think I'll split the leveling up to disc 1 and disc 2. I guess I just wanted those master HP/MP Plus. Le sigh.
I just started over on final fantasy 7 hard mode. have you play that one? Its the same game thought but god damn its hard much more hard. First fight with the solder they take 50-60 hp insted of like 4. And alla the other enemies is harder everyone. So its more fun becuse the game is so much harder. The 1st boss take like 100 hp on normal attack. So every enemies in the game is 100 times harder but not impossiball to beat just you have to be strong to fiinsh the game.

It so much more fun all the same like i said befor jsut all enemies in the game is much harder. first solder attack on normal game 4-7 hp on hard mode 50-60 hp. First boss 30-40 hp on normal on hard mode 100 hp. And all the enmies is stronger. So i recomend to download that one and try to finish the game i havent yet i jsut found it so fun =)

I beat Emerald a year ago. Hardest fight ever. I didn't use the underwater materia. The battle ended with the time limit at 00:00. I used Cosmo Memeory for the heck of it and won. Lucky.
FF7 and tactics are possibly the two series I enjoyed the most. I liked FF8 as well. New series only focus on graphics and stupid storyline but there's absolutely no fun playing it. Wtf were they thinking to take away world map and allow us to travel around in a ship?!?! Absolutely no exploration involved; just follow the storyline that's it. I truly hope they'll remake FF7 in PS3 cuz I think there's a huge market for it.

oh man... I havent played this game for about 10 years!! I completed the story many times but I never defeated emerald weapon.. Judging how fast you sped up this video you must've been in that battle for at least an hour and a half! Kuidos my friend, kudos!
I swear to god, when I fought Emerald, he never once used aire tam storm. But he uses it like 8 times here! And I did it without underwater materia so my time was limited, but still longer than this battle. When I defeated him I was so pissed cause the whole time, I was keeping everyone at 9999 and I never got the chance to see lucky 7's :(
once i leveld up some he was easy. 3rd member lucky 7's, first W-summon KOTR and second mime KOTR, he should die in a turn or two. the lucky 7's will do around 500K damage so. :D easy win...he only got in tow hits, revenge stomp and emerald beam i think. didnt kill anyone.
FF 7 fanboys have such a narrow prspective. the turn base fights are boring and heve no action in them. ff 7 looks like crap(even when it orginally realesed) cut scences are not the games graphics nor are the pre render background you cant even interact with that background cause its 2d. ff7s story and characters were compared to other games crap. so ff7 fanboys admit it, get, over it, that slap yourself 1 time for every ridiculous claim youve made about ff7 being 1 of the best games ever

I defeated Emerald simply by Limit-Breaks and combining Life with the Final Attack Materia for all my characters. You can't die. Well, technically, you can, but it's hard, and you have to waste a lot of MP.
I had cloud and Cid hit 7777 in this fight, i rigged cid's HP to 7777 somehow; i forgot how i wish to god i remember, but they level different in this game so it wouldn't matter. However it hit cloud, tifa healed so i had both cid and Cloud in Lucky 7's and raped his ass.
@BrAv3H3RT Don't know if this is what you're asking for but I used to start this fight with caracters at 7777hp, it's quite easy, you just have to use that magic who makes enemies small so every thime they hit you they will give you 1hp damages... when you reach XX77hp (or also XX27, I don't remember if the regular potion ristores 50HPs) you kill the enemy and on the map you use item and stuff till you and reach 7777 ;)

What i meant though was i rigged Cid's HP to 7777 that was his max HP, so say if i used a Tent; his HP was at 7777. the problem was it only lasted for one level lol as soon as he leveled up he gained hp and was at like 7900 some :(

mime is also very good in this fight. what i do is have 2 guys keep miming there limit breaks and one guy keeps using megalixirs. so its like cloud:omnislash tifa:final heaven red XIII:megalixir emerald: some move cloud:mime (omnislash) tifa:mime (final heaven) red XIII: megalixir emerald: some move repeat
I just beat emerald 2 days ago. I was on level 75. I hit him with nights of round 5 times using w summon and mime. Then he attacked killed red 13 before he could use Knights the last time .I revived red and Used Demi on him. Killed Him in 17 mins. Mind you it was probably my 14th try.
ive have NEVER gotten 7777s. My luck is not that good. I just went with all of my materia, with final attack: phoenix, and went all out with KotR and mime.
lol favorite move?, Every char with Mime at x4, the have Cloud cast Knights of the round, XD 12 Knights of the round in 1 turn! lol then just keep casting mime...epic wins
People, this fight is soooo easy. Sneak attack with Hades and just woop him. Works with Ruby as well. Make sure two of your characters are KO'd, enter battle, Ruby puts claws in ground, you summon Hades, piece o' pie!!!! With Emerald just summon Hades, use KotR and mime. Using this I wooped both weapons like they were wolfs outside of Midgar!!!!
@loner1520 try the final attack+phoenix combo morphing heavy tanks and spirals help a lot and the hallway in the gelnkia if you have yuffies conformer and hook her up with speed and power sources getting sources is a breeze also the w-summon+knights of the round helps. make sure your other characters have mime
that shit just hit 7777 63 times in a row!!! thats almost half his HP if it werent for that you'd have been OWWWNNNEEDD good strategy though until that happened i never thought about using big guard i just let air tare kill me everytime with final attack phoenix attached you might've just made it without the lucky 7's
I think it's safe to say that the first part of that fight could have gone so much easier/better had you just used one Mega-Elixer and had every character mimic it continously until Lucky 7's were induced (at best, all 3 would have ended up with the lucky 7's status). That is unless Emerald Weapon doesn't perform "Aire Tam Storm" at full HP.
I just got yesterday Omnislash, but I can't make Cloud learn it. Same with other characters, I can't make them learn their final limits. Can anyone help me?
@Adana180109 u need to have the level 3 limit breaks learned. with the exception for vincent, u need to have learned 2 limits in level 3 limit break so u can learn the final one
@loner1520 In the northern crater, in the room where you can encounter Magic Pots and Movers. Use W-Item Glitch to get a ton of Elixirs and then use the Elixirs on Magic Pots and then defeat them. Magic Pot gives 8000 EXP and 1000 AP, Magic Pot x2 gives 16000 EXP and 2000 AP, and Movers can be killed normally. However, Mover x3 only gives 0 EXP and 2400 AP.
@loner1520 the forest outside mideel is my favorite place good exp decent ap and the enemies are cake plus if you go to the rock part of mideel you can morph spirals into guard sources

Wtf were they thinking to take away world map and allow us to travel around in a ship?!?! Absolutely no exploration involved; just follow the storyline that's it. oh man... I havent played this game for about 10 years!! I completed the story many times but I never defeated emerald weapon.. Judging how fast you sped up this video you must've been in that battle for at least an hour and a half! Kuidos my friend, kudos!

I swear to god, when I fought Emerald, he never once used aire tam storm. But he uses it like 8 times here! And I did it without underwater materia so my time was limited, but still longer than this battle. When I defeated him I was so pissed cause the whole time, I was keeping everyone at 9999 and I never got the chance to see lucky 7's :(

once i leveld up some he was easy. 3rd member lucky 7's, first W-summon KOTR and second mime KOTR, he should die in a turn or two. the lucky 7's will do around 500K damage so. :D easy win...he only got in tow hits, revenge stomp and emerald beam i think. didnt kill anyone.

FF 7 fanboys have such a narrow prspective. the turn base fights are boring and heve no action in them. ff 7 looks like crap(even when it orginally realesed) cut scences are not the games graphics nor are the pre render background you cant even interact with that background cause its 2d. ff7s story and characters were compared to other games crap. so ff7 fanboys admit it, get, over it, that slap yourself 1 time for every ridiculous claim youve made about ff7 being 1 of the best games ever

@TheRottweiler when u summon hades,he poisons,sleeps and stuns the enemy so it cant attack u,yea that happens to everybody...

like if someone is sleeping, you see the zzzz icon, or silence you see the bubble with the dots

lol all i defeated emerald by using pretty much omni slash and knights of round then i have my team use mimic to use knights of round over and over again and i had master final atck linked with pheonix just in case

Damm i hope they will remake this game someday with better graphic's but they shuldt change anything except the graphics , the way the characters looked diferent during battle is cool to they shuldnt change it , add a ton of new palce son the world map and it wuld be a hit again

I defeated Emerald simply by Limit-Breaks and combining Life with the Final Attack Materia for all my characters. You can't die. Well, technically, you can, but it's hard, and you have to waste a lot of MP.

I had cloud and Cid hit 7777 in this fight, i rigged cid's HP to 7777 somehow; i forgot how i wish to god i remember, but they level different in this game so it wouldn't matter. However it hit cloud, tifa healed so i had both cid and Cloud in Lucky 7's and raped his ass.

@BrAv3H3RT Don't know if this is what you're asking for but I used to start this fight with caracters at 7777hp, it's quite easy, you just have to use that magic who makes enemies small so every thime they hit you they will give you 1hp damages... when you reach XX77hp (or also XX27, I don't remember if the regular potion ristores 50HPs) you kill the enemy and on the map you use item and stuff till you and reach 7777 ;)

What i meant though was i rigged Cid's HP to 7777 that was his max HP, so say if i used a Tent; his HP was at 7777. the problem was it only lasted for one level lol as soon as he leveled up he gained hp and was at like 7900 some :(

I had all 7's with Cloud a couple of times just out of pure luck. It's no cheat but I've never seen it with another character before, that was cool.

I just beat emerald 2 days ago. I was on level 75. I hit him with nights of round 5 times using w summon and mime. Then he attacked killed red 13 before he could use Knights the last time .I revived red and Used Demi on him. Killed Him in 17 mins. Mind you it was probably my 14th try.

ive have NEVER gotten 7777s. My luck is not that good. I just went with all of my materia, with final attack: phoenix, and went all out with KotR and mime.

Air Tame does 1111 per materia you´ve got equipped. And 9999 - two materia gives us?. :)

People, this fight is soooo easy. Sneak attack with Hades and just woop him. Works with Ruby as well. Make sure two of your characters are KO'd, enter battle, Ruby puts claws in ground, you summon Hades, piece o' pie!!!! With Emerald just summon Hades, use KotR and mime. Using this I wooped both weapons like they were wolfs outside of Midgar!!!!

@loner1520 try the final attack+phoenix combo morphing heavy tanks and spirals help a lot and the hallway in the gelnkia if you have yuffies conformer and hook her up with speed and power sources getting sources is a breeze also the w-summon+knights of the round helps. make sure your other characters have mime

I think it's safe to say that the first part of that fight could have gone so much easier/better had you just used one Mega-Elixer and had every character mimic it continously until Lucky 7's were induced (at best, all 3 would have ended up with the lucky 7's status). That is unless Emerald Weapon doesn't perform "Aire Tam Storm" at full HP.

@Adana180109 u need to have the level 3 limit breaks learned. with the exception for vincent, u need to have learned 2 limits in level 3 limit break so u can learn the final one

@loner1520 In the northern crater, in the room where you can encounter Magic Pots and Movers. Use W-Item Glitch to get a ton of Elixirs and then use the Elixirs on Magic Pots and then defeat them. Magic Pot gives 8000 EXP and 1000 AP, Magic Pot x2 gives 16000 EXP and 2000 AP, and Movers can be killed normally. However, Mover x3 only gives 0 EXP and 2400 AP.
