@FretsonFireMuse I think that matters depending on your system. Media composer on Win 7 x64 works really well, could be faster but I think that's due to my set-up and nothing to do with my OS.

Hey Steve, I have a quick avid question.  I want to crop video, and the only way I can find how is to use the 3d warp effect. I can crop, but then the rest of the screen is black. How do i get my crop to fill the screen. I don't understand why it's so hard to figure out. Thanks.

@Benimation You can't compare the 2, they're different programs. Media Composer is a professional editing software for Film and TV shows, etc. After Effects is a VFX, motion graphics and compositing software.

Avid is a fucking shit, it is unstable, the settings render are very bad and your final product can be affected because of that, I prefer FCP o Vegas Pro.

Avid products are lame, over priced, crash full and worthless pieces of junk. They do nothing special, there are cheaper and better products such as Premiere and AE that can outperform what AVID can do. The only thing Avid has, is its name, and top Jewish friends who sign up their software for their media companies.

AVID is purely crap, offers little for its high costs, and has become the norm simply because of clever marketing and friends at high places, namely from 1 religion. Avid is crap, seriously, it keeps crashing, and does things that takes as little as 2 steps in AE or AP in 10 steps. It's tedious to use, and has shoved itself down the throats of the media industry because of its marketing muscle and other factors.
