Not a big fan of this. The whole being insanely fast thing kinda died down a little didn't it? I thought so...I don't know they're not bad, but I don't think being super fast makes you good or heavy at all. I do like how they incorporate weird little samples and some synthesizers though. They remind me of old school Mushroomhead sped up by about 100%. :P

Lets not start on the whole "who started the masks thing" because it was neither of these two bands. Speaking of this era it was Mushroomhead who did it first in 1993 and they did it to hide their identity as they were all in different bands, so if Mushroomhead didn't work out their bands wouldn't get pissy on them.

Slipknot and The Berzerker formed in 1995. A little history goes a long way.

I love all 3 of these bands, this one the most, but it helps to know.

No, it was for health reasons, and practical reasons...

A lot of the time during performances, the sweat was pissing out of them, they were suffering with dehydration all the time...which obviously had an effect on their playing.

And the masks stank...and, because of the DVD, they were all unmasked, so they were pretty pointless by then...

I agree though, I preferred them WITH the masks too, gave them an edge on other bands.
