There are only two Temeraire books in Russian bookstores.

I didn't like the crack about Russians treating dragons badly, but I got used to in in Western sci-fi and fantasy. We are always "the bad guys".

I wonder if the author is going to remember the part our army did in defeating Napoleon.

well lung tien xiang [temeraire] is a celestial and Laurence can say the dragon ate him him self and the chines cant do any thing to a celestial (cuz they are on par with the emporor)

True, they can't do anything to a Celestial, but I'm sure they can do a lot to Laurence. At any rate they would have taken Temeraire back to China with them. Which is of course the whole reason why Laurence went to China: to try to reason with the Chinese to let him keep Temeraire.

5 books have been releasedI'm on the 4th. Naomi novik is working on a 6th book titled tongues of serpents. Rumors says there will totally nine books and peter jacksson has bought movierights for the 3 first books.

This series has been by far, one the of the best book series I've have read, up their with Anne McCaffery's pern novels and E.E. Knight's Age of Fire series.

Beautifull pictures of Temeraire and Laurence, i love the Temeraire series. too bad dragons like these aren't real.. Can't wait till i got rest of the books, at the moment i only got book 1 and 3. Couldn't find the rest translated yet =(

Jolla, Read that last post again. I asked that Laurence and Temeraire will not be executed for an act of honor. That was a question. I have the book. I know the answer. I was not pleased with Ms. Novick's story line. But, it is her story. And I am waiting for the next book. She has me hooked. (Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy, and are good with ketchup).LOL =Stefan=
