  • Well demonstrated Darren. Thanks for sharing!

  • Thanks Darren for a different spin on Setting goals. I would not use the word luck and I know you started with that word but it is not luck. You put yourself out there to enable opportunity to be given and you were ready to accept the opportunity. I believe you stated it very well and in different ways for everyone to enjoy.

  • I'm glad that you're doing more of these videos, Darren, but boy oh boy the focusing issues really made it hard for me to watch this. Eventually I had to just listen and not watch! I hope you're lucky enough to get that GF2 and that it truly does fix the focus ;-)

  • Well said Darren. I like the part about positive and negative attitudes. It seems when some people think of solutions to an idea the first 'solution' is "it won't work". Thinking positive's first and criticism second is good advice.

  • It is up to us to make a difference and make our lives better in any way shape and form but we can not go out seeking luck, luck comes to us in between our journey of being a good person and with karma!

  • Darren, you just nailed the steps to 'deliberate creation' in a way that's accessible to people who may not be willing to accept we live in an energetic, creational universe. :) I'm with you on every "step" to luck that you described. One of the definitions of luck is "one's personal fate." I don't believe it's all random or predetermined. There must be some organizing force in the universe, and it makes sense to me that the force is energy. You've described how we can access that energy.

  • As a Christian, I don't believe in luck. I don't believe that anything comes by chance, Some of your insights here are true and very helpful but it's also important to remember that there is a God and He is intimately involved and interested in your life.

Your point about being prepared coupled with being willing to step out of your comfort zone is very important. God had to bring me to the place where I had to stop allowing fear to keep me from doing what it is that God wants me to do.

  • Great video, Darren. It's exciting to see someone who took Problogger and DPS to such high heights enter into this field. I have no doubt that you are going to change thousands of people's lives, mine included.

  • good message, I like to call it the intersection of exposure and preparedness.

question: are you using an HD SLR for these videos? I like the depth of field.

  • It's a Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF1. They've just announced a GF2 which I hope will fix some focusing issues - but yes it produces a lovely quality video for a still camera!

  • Wonderful post Darren. Thank you! I think you're comment that you need to let others know is so true. It lends itself to the idea that your loved ones can be your biggest advocates and can be a truly win-win situation.

A side question: Your image quality is really great. What kind of camera are you using?

  • I think that's really true Darren and I never really thought about it like that. Like you say, if you don't know what you want you might miss the opportunities. I can think of examples of that in my own life. Good insight, thanks!

  • Very insightful, thank you.
