  • Okc suxs ass Tulsa is so much nicer and cleaner!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I live in okc the village, 405 4 life! It's and awesome state with good people and a strong economy, the only thing is OK is pretty bible belt so it's not a gay friendly city, it's great for family's though!

  • I Love Oklahoma

  • oklahoma city is it a gay open city?

  • Nice video glad to see a nice promotion like this. Lots of great changes taking place in OKC.

  • I love this City

I was born In Del City and went to the city all the time

i love this town so much

and i cant wait till i come back to the best city of the southwest

  • crap i left there to go to Boise,ID and now with every fiber in y body am regretting it. i want to go back so bad.

  • 405 till I DIE!!!

  • What a city! 4.39 is my favourite part.

  • great video oklahoma city looks great

  • one of the best sunset i ever saw

  • I lived in okc/Moore for 6 years during college and first years of marriage. I live in Eugene oregon now and hate it. If you are looking a great change don't choose the northwest. I think okc is a great place for anyone in just about any situation. Are there bad areas? Yes. Is okc good for families? Yes, we can't wait to get back soon to start our family. If you consider yourself a liberal, you will fit in and even be surprised how much more loving people are. Except don't expect people to driv

  • @vtec526 i was originally from okc and i moved to seattle. they both arent bad. i understand where youre coming from though

  • @girizimosay I agree with you Seattle is an amazing place. I think what I really mean is small town NW. I live in town 30 minutes south of Eugene, but it's the middle of nowhere. Anyway, enough complaining from me. I've visited seattle a few times and love it every time. So for me to include the whole northwest is not fair. I think it's really what works for each person in their situation.

  • my mom works there...she says the place is pretty fine compared to some states...i might visit her soon.can't wait!

  • is ok is safe place

  • OK looks great man! my dad is from OK city and moved to LA in the 50's. He moved back to OK city in the early 80's. I should have moved with him. Lots of family there I never met. Hope OK dont let what happened in Los Angeles over the past 30 years happen there.

  • Lovely living comes not only from surroundings but from better systems as well. If you solve your responsibilities in the real time, I feel you can have a better living and life at any place. What do the others say?

  • i live in Oklahoma & love going to Okc! it really is quite a beautiful place

  • i love living here. thumbs up if you do too.

  • Very high production values...well done. I am looking forward to making this great city my home this summer.:)

  • @euroespagnol11 - All the best for this initiative. Home is where the heart is. I wish I had PRP solutions in a great city like this. Set up alerts and personalized systems with PRP solutions, trust me you'll be more than happy in your new home.

  • great place for gay?

  • To be happy, yes.

  • @123thorton 10 years ago, I would have agreed with most of your generalized statement. In the last 10 years OKC has been refaced with almost all of the things shown in this video. Before our M.A.P.S project and Project 180 began, the city was dull and boring, but not now. The video doesn't show it, but in the last 14 or so months, they have been building a 50 story Devon skyscraper and we have an NBA team. Our crappy ass I-40 crosstown highway is about to be gone, replaced with new one. So?

  • @123thorton what are you talking about? The drivers are one of the best in the country. Have you ever seen Dallas drivers and how they drive, they go 20 miles above the speed limit. Everything in this video is true. you have problems!

  • I love Oklahoma:-)

  • I feel like exploring all USA!!!!!! I'm stuck here in NYC >:(

  • I love that I have family in Oklahoma :3

  • Very well done video. Oklahoma IS a great place to live!

  • GO THE THUNDER!!!

  • Oklahoma city seems like a nice place to live. So far out of all the videos I have seen , I think it would be a great place to live.

  • My friend on STEAM is near the oklahoma capitol

  • Oklahoma is a great, open and conservative state. It's really nice to see new people coming over here to visit and live.

  • Great video, looking for more Oklahoma City info check out my video. thanks

  • I was there back in 2003, when I was ten!

Now I'm thinking about living there :)

    I love America <3

    Btw.: I'm from Germany

  • WOO~! GO SHAWNEE~! (proud of my ghetto town)

  • Is Oklahoma still mostly white?

  • @utube9000

Ummmm.....like any urban city, depending on the neighborhood. I'm sure if you look at OK state or OKC itself on wikipedia, it's demographics are still mostly white.

  • and with the new Devon building it would be even better. !!

    Like it if u agree!!

  • @Daotrito

To prove there is good people in OKC, I liked your comment to be honest, because it would be EVEN better...plus keep that 405 spirit

  • Used to live in Midwest city, beautiful place to live. still my fav state.

  • wow.. what a great video. I am from Oregon, but i realized just now, how nice this city is... and I am blessed, at the end of the year I will be visiting OKC, and start expanding my Amway business there! I AM NOW EVEN MORE EXCITED!!! BLESSINGS!

  • @25jpexito Look up the OKC Devon Tower, a 50 story skyscraper being built in OKC since OCT '09, it's gonna be beautiful. .

  • my mom (who is currently working there), told me the place is utterly clean...sheesh....she sent me a lot of pictures and then i was just too awed to speak...it was beautiful indeed!

  • oklahoma is awesome i live there

  • This video is so true.

  • Interesting; rather informative. Very green!

  • Oklahoma in general is a really great place to live. The people are nice, there's lots to do, Just be prepared for one thing: The Weather. It's completely bipolar. Everything else is perfectly fine. You'll enjoy it here.

  • Okc

  • from a 'ground zero' perspective, how's the unemployment/vacancy/job market there?

  • @goread41 Much better than anywhere else in the country. Not to mention, the cost of living is significantly cheaper. Oklahoma has the cheapest coast of living in the U.S.

  • is possible anyboby can tell me about okc the life in there and the system of living

  • @pierre8825 its a really great place to live been here all my life everyones freindly

  • @pierre8825 Come and visit. The pace of life is very laid back.

  • While Oklahoma is generally conservative, the younger generations and the urban areas are progressively becoming liberal. However, I doubt the state. It is truly strange to me.

However. I think anyone can find Oklahoma an incredible place to live. Conservatives and Liberals alike. For instance, I'm a gay, 17 year-old agnostic and I love this city with all my heart. I am never disrespected and I respect all others also. It's not really a problem like one would think.

  • Go Oklahoma!

  • IM FROM OKC

  • Lol! Foreigners are treated very well! It's not the stone age people! The state is generally conservative, but can be just as liberal. The same guy you saw blitz at the bar on Saturday might be at church on Sunday morning. Most people are more curious than anything. Just tell them where you're from and be nice to them and don't be surprised if your meal doesn't get comped or a few drinks bought for you. My wife is Korean and when we went home she loved it. Enjoy!

  • @filmmakerman

    Well said.

But I don't know what this "conservative/liberal" issue is about. Conservatives are general advocates of individual liberty, and that comes through *very* much here in OKCity. We judge people for who they are as individuals, not groups. When people here ask about you, it's not to peg you into a stereotype, but to learn about different peoples.

  • Hi all. Me and my family are moving to OKC this summer from cold, snowy Norway. I´m really looking forward to it! We´ll be living in Edmond. Can anybody recommend a elementary and preliminary school for my kids?

  • @bollabrutus

Edmond is a lovely community, a norther suburb of Oklahoma City. I've had the privilege of building many of the homes and businesses in Edmond, although I live in Oklahoma City itself.

Edmond schools are probably among the best in the metro area, if not the State. No matter which one your children go to in Edmond, they should benefit from a quality education

  • I'm going to move to Oklahoma city in fall hopefully, for Oklahoma state university, and right now I live in TX ^^ So im really excited about this..

  • OKC is a real nice city and yep we got the friendliest folks there but i am a Okie myself. Yall welcome to live there? Do not listen to those idoit who put us down cuz we love our families and God yes they are redneck but not all them are not racist thats a liberal lie ! racism is everywhere!

  • Hi sabrinarobertson, i think if you comig to oklahoma city you go to enjoy the life here , i think is a good plase for your kids , and if you from brazil , you can find here a brazilian restaurant "Cafe Do Brazil" , ask anybody or in the yellow pages , is so great , i like fabada ... is good, welcome to oklahoma

  • nice

  • Hello guys! I am about to move with my husband to Oklahoma and my 3 kids....he won a contract to his company. My problem is I am brazilian and he is british, we have lived here in the UK for the last 5 years. How is it with you guys regarding foreigners? The fact that I am brazilian/latin...How do the most of the population behave? Thank!

  • @Sabrinarobertson

That's cool! Are you moving to OKC? I don't think you'll have any issues at all. People here are very friendly, and they might ask you a million questions about Brazil (or the UK), so you might have a tired ear after a while. But there is more ethnic diversity in Oklahoma than people think. Of course, this is more true of the metro areas than rural areas. But I REALLY can't imagine you having any problems at all!

  • The people here are really nice. I think you guys will love it. On a side note, I visited Brazil about a year ago and really enjoyed it.

  • i'm leaving st louis and i'm gonna be staying in oklahoma city for 5 months. i am excited and nervous. someone who's lived there a long time; can you tell me how you like it? i'm looking forward. my flight will be thursday 9:30 am

  • Hi, Marvinho.

I'm 35 and have lived here since I was 10. OKC is a bit slowe paced, but it's not boring. The people are friendly, and whatever you like (sports, nightlife, museums, good food, etc) you can find here. And it's getting better as time goes on. Iknow I sound like an ad for the city now, but it's great, and I don't ever see myself moving. In fact, some of my relatives from CA moved here after visiting! I think that you will enjoy it here! Or, at least I hope you do!! :-)

  • @Marvinho22291 Don't be nervous, You will find that living here is very easy. What part of the city are you moving to? Make sure you visit Bricktown and some of the Restaurants on Lake Hefner!

  • United States Of America is a daaam good plays, i have never bin there but i want 2, my dad and mam have bin there..

  • Ahhh great OKC only live like 5min away from it :)

  • I live in Dallas but I'm seriously thinking about moving to OKC. It would be nice to live in a city where I could walk the streets at night without fearing for my life and my truck doesn't get broken into on a regular basis.

  • it's not as bad as Dallas but we have our "neighborhoods" lol

  • Oklahoma City is an awesome place to live! I've been fortunate enough to travel around the world but there is no place I'd rather call home.

  • I Live in Okc :)

    Its pretty Awesome!

  • i live in Edmond, OK right now, about ten minutes away from OKC. :)

  • Hi

Mr I will go to study in Oklahoma and I'm very worried wether it is good state or not, in fact i'm going to Stillwater area, and I'm international student, can you give me some advice about that place, are the people racist , are they friendly, is there modern facilities, is there good malls.

  • Hello! Where are you coming in from? :D

Ohhhh I think you'll love Oklahoma! Stillwater is very beautiful and the OSU campus is... breathtaking! There are trees everywhere, it's green, and the air is clean! The people in Oklahoma are some of the nicest people on the face of the planet! Most are raised on the morals of traditions long gone (i.e. Guys open doors for girls; we respect our elders; support the needy, etc.) Sorry, I need to comments to finish! Haha!

  • In fact, when I go out of state, I'm always surprised when I smile at a stranger, and they don't smile back! lol. Oklahomans love to smile! Yes, we have like, two large malls, and we have modern facilities, but with a cute charm to them! Oklahoma's not particularly large, but boy do we have ambition! I live in a great, safe community! We can't wait to have you and experience the richness of your own personal culture! If you need to know more, don't hesitate to ask, friend! ;)

  • it's pretty nice, mostly stay away from drunk rednecks they like to start shit that's about it stillwater is kinda wealthy people, there's malls in oklahoma city they're ok

  • wooooo I live in California

anyone know the legality of cannabis in OK?

  • i lived in OKC for a long time. it wasn't as accepting and diverse to me personaly as many people here like to think. the only part of the entire state i found beautiful was the tallequa area, and Guthrie had this cool old colonial feel to it. But when i left, i found my home in Oregon. but i sure do miss my old highschool friends.

  • !t seems a beautiful State!

  • It is! :)

I love my home dearly! I've grown to the ripe old age of 16 100% safely with great friends and fun sports, and I am known as a nice, friendly person. I couldn't have done it without my encouraging, beautiful, and innovative state, either :D

We're moral, traditional, intelligent people who love our fellow Americans and foreigners from abroad! You should come visit us one day! We'd love to have you! :)

  • Good to know! that thanx dude

  • Thanks for the comment oklahomazown. Fortunately I live in one of the safest suburbs in town- also a nice one.

The people of OKC and Oklahoma (commonly referred to as 'Okies') are actually very nice and have a broad opinion on politics and religion, not really all that much of a bias red state as many people may think.

And our state anthem is from a musical! How can you beat that?

  • It makes me happy to see everybody always commenting on oklahomas people. I never really thought people here were that nice until I started to travel, and then I was like wow, I live in such a great state. Actually by land size okc is one of, or the biggest cities in the US. Just not by population

  • Yep... If I remember right, we're number 3 behind Jacksonville and Anchorage as far as square mileage is concerned...

  • I'm in the USAF and I have been to many places around the world. I grew up in OKC (Go PIRATES!!!) and didn't quite know what I had there until I left. Thanks to whoever made this video, because it is a great reminder of my oklaHOMEa. Even as I sit here in my condo in Italy, I can still feel the cool breeze coming off the canal and can taste the awesomeness that are the Cinnamon Rolls from the fair. Remember 89er games?

  • You went to PCO!?!?! :D

    I do too!

  • "For when the Putnam Pirates fall in line.." ah, the memories! Enjoy it!

  • It's a really nice place. I just graduated college in OKC and coming from a small town there is plenty to do here. It's not as big as many other cities out there but it has a convenient appeal to it and plenty to do and see.

I'm glad to call this place my home.

  • Thats awesome!I am from Purcell but lived all over. Our state truly is 1of a kind,God bless u and keep u safe!

  • Moved here 20 years ago on a 3yr contract decided to stay as it just keeps getting better.

  • Well - the photographers have made this OKC look as bright as Miami on CSI.... Glad to see that OKC has finally made it into the new millenium!!!!

  • I moved to OKC in 1974 & experienced the best ten years of my life. Great People, Wide Variety of entertainment, beautiful scenery & much more. And That was BEFORE The Hornets & Thunder came, Before "Bricktown & Toby Keith I Love This Bar & Grill. You must visit & build your memories of Okc. Heck! Why not LIVE Your Memories in Okc. Great Town! And Growing Bigger Everyday. Great mayor!

  • Holy Cow - this is great - but the real asset of OKC is its people - hard to describe that adequately.

  • Would move from Austin to OKC tomorrow if I could.

  • glad to be home....

  • Oklahoma City is a great place to live.

  • Very high production values...well done. I am looking forward to making this great city my home this summer.

  • We're excited to have you, and I guess with how long ago you wrote this, WELCOME HOME :D

  • Well done!
