Well... I still want to murder Glen Beck's family in front of him, but for the first time I realize that there are a lot of general ideas that we agree on. The fallacy here is that he's convinced Iran will nuke us the second we leave. That's just part of the conditioning of the "secret government" he warns about.
Paul doesn't worry about Iran nuking us because there isn't nearly enough evidence to support the idea that they could.

Russia has had a mutual defense pact with Iran ever since the Islamic revolution in 1979. If we attack Iran then World War III is guaranteed. The really important point is that if we go bankrupt, THAT is when Israel will be in danger. Not that iran would nuke israel, they consider that land holy and they want it for themselves. If they nuked it the land would be ruined for quite some time.. I don't think they would resort to that. 1.) Iran has not shown any evidence of not complying with the requirements of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty
2. ) Even if Iran obtained a nuclear weapon, it would not be STUPID enough to bomb the US/Israel, because it would quickly be annihilated
3.) Even if they were dumb enough to try to attack, our/Israel's SUPERIOR air defense systems would destroy the nuke before it ever got to either nation

Paul's foreign policy is an integral part of why his economics make sense. You can't agree with his economic policies and not agree with his foreign policies. Beck, you're an idiot pandering to civil religion and a demographic that allows you to live comfortably due to their own sycophantic groupthink. Bush's presidency witnessed some of the most unconstitutional power-grabs with a basis on fictional inherent presidential powers NOT in the constitution. Agree with Paul's F.P. b/c he's right.

So sorry for Israel and other countries we give money but we take care of ourselves first. Israel can take care of themselves. IF Iran gets an atomic weapon they have NO missiles that can launch it farther than their neighboring countries. If they were dumb enough to launch it then Iran would cease to exist. Iran may be lead by ideologues who may seem nuts but they are not ignorant enough to threaten their own existence. Iran cannot afford gas for themselves. they are not a threat.

As if Iran, if it ever gets the bomb, will venture into war against the US. The best scenario for them is that they don't get attacked by Israel and the US if they ever get the bomb (since it is nuclear power they're after). People like this Lisa here (unless she is a pro-war Isreali) think they know what they're talking about... Fear Pakistan, Lisa, they have the bomb too and they're really not happy with Uncle Sam.
