We are children of Jacob's wife, children of Grace, we are of the Benjamin Generation (Joseph represented Jesus, he had 10 older brothers not of the same mother but of slave women representing the law, then he was born of Jacob's wife, then came Benjamin also born of Jacob's wife and representative of us, those who are re-born thanks to Christ's Grace, not the law).

@V3ryan by crying out to God, repenting and trusting in Him. You cannot work your way into heaven. The scripture tells us in Phil 1:6 "being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." No one can tell you you are saved only God. So seek Him, yes you have sinned but do you continue in it purposefully or do you hate it each time you do? If you have a new relationship with God you have a new relationship to sin as well.

Under the "law" and "legalism" we have "religion." Under Grace we have "salvation in the LORD!" When all we have is "religion," we are absolutely nothing, even though we may think we are something.  Today we are under the Grace of our LORD Jesus Christ who is God who left His heavenly thrown, came to dwell among us (not as a conquerer or an earthly king), nor as a tyrant longing for mindless morons to bow before Him, but truthful, heart-seeking believers who would confess their sin and repent.

Yes. The devil doesn't have anything to do with our election. So regardless of how God elects, He is not to be equated with the devil. If you call yourself a Christian, you need to repent of your foolishness for your response to the Scriptures I posted being "this makes God the devil." Be more humble and God-fearing in your attitude. God is not to be blasphemed.

When we have a sober and Biblical understanding of our sinfulness and how much we deserve God's wrath, we understand that God doesn't have to save a single one. So if He chooses to elect only some to salvation, that is not unjust. Indeed, it is a wondrous display of His grace.

There is another way in which we are responsible for the sinner scoffing at Jesus and His church. It is when we stab our brothers and sister in Christ by gossiping about them or imputing evil motives to them. We can be vicious in the way in which we behave to one another. We have been told to love one another as Christ has loved us. each time we do not, we injure not only our siblings in Christ but Christ's own cause. Take heed! Grace applies to those who are regenerated or born again. when a person is truly born again they are given the "gift" of repentance. A person who sins and does not repent can not claim to be born again and is not under grace but under judgement.

Repentance does not save a man. Christs death on the cross and His imputed righteousness to our accounts is what justifies us. But if we are justified we will repent..

By their fruits you will know them.

This is one of the most Satanic preachings I have ever heard. Christ came to bring Grace to believers. Satan is the accuser who robs believers of that Grace by bringing back the law. Jesus only talked law to those who did not call him Lord, mostly Pharisees who thought they could save themselves with the law. He heaped more law at them to show them their need for Him. That may be how you are filtering it but that is not what he is saying at all. Jesus said we are to be the SALT of the earth. Salt makes you thirsty, it makes you want water. We are supposed to make people want the living water that flows from Him and we do NOT do that by doing the work of the Holy Spirit. Whoa, I have to say I have never heard that before. Are you saying that we are not to follow Jesus's example of how to pray? if yes, are we to deny Him as an example in every other part of life, let alone the most important, prayer!?

You have to take scripture in context. Many uneducated, NOT truly led by the Spirit preachers are out there making up their own Dr. Phil sermons by just pulling verses out of context to fit what they want to say (:cough: Joel Osteen :cough:). The Bible has to be divided by the cross, not by what we call OT and NT. Jesus spoke one way to legalistic pharisees (heaped law at them), another way to people learning (parables of how it would be to come) and another way to those who knew he was Lord

The "Lord's Prayer" is PRE Cross. Everything in scripture is written FOR us but not everything in scripture is written TO us. Our relationship with the Father AFTER the cross is very different than what is said in that prayer. The prayer is still a good thing and a good structure but there are entire christian theology classes on why it is something for Jews pre-cross. I'm not just some internet smuck, I've gone through pastoral classes, ministered in India, Dubai, Malaysia, etc..

So in effect you are stating that before the cross is a different time now past, dust in the wind? In this way you can dismiss all of the 12 apostles and what was told them and preached by Jesus, correct?

You need to read what Jesus said about the Pharisees, he said they only preach the lighter part of the law abrogating the weightier parts.

@markdelisle So Jesus was really telling the Pharisees their sin was not keeping the whole law and telling others that they only needed to tithe. Remember the rebuke about Korban? So the sin of the Pharisees was ignoring the law, not trying to keep it as you state.

Your error is understood because you believe men like Mark Kielar, you see the epistles were written and circulated before the books by Matthew and John. Not why do these books disagree with Paul?

@markdelisle They disagree because they were written to correct Paul's epistles, Paul had created confusion, as you can read in 2 Peter. Peter called Paul a beloved brother but not an apostle only Paul ever called himself and apostle, not even his good friend Luke called him an apostle. When in 2 Peter 3:16, Peter says that some distort Paul's words to their own destruction, he was speaking of those who say the law died with Jesus, but did no resurrect with him also. Is the God of Sinai dead?

Not sure what the nature of the pastors 'crassness' or whatever was that he gives the illustration of. But each one is responsible for their own prideful rejection of God's spirit. We should be such that 'no man need instruct' us. God never lays our salvation in the hands of other men :-). However each of us should look soberly on our own walk and ask where we are getting the motivation that forms each word proceeds from our mouth or every letter that we type.
