hey, shouldnt you be working... not video taping?? lol fyi i made a new youtube sooo yeah.. and where did you goo!!! I miss you on fb already! lol love you cuz. ♥
12/16/11 - Thank you for posting this 2 years ago. My 5 year old son is a BNSF freak!!!! He wants to know when you are going through there again and updating the video? Merry Christmas!
Unreal changes! I photographed, and videoed every inch of the canyon in the mid 80's, mid 90's, and early 2000, and see that most places I filmed from are now gone. I'm sure it looks a lot different today. Thanks for sharing...
When meeting a train aren't you supposed to dim the headlight except when approaching a public crossing? In Canada, we are to dim the headlight when 2 trains meet except when approaching a publice crossing.
I was just out there Sunday 12/19! I could never find the correct radio frequency for this line--all I could hear was the NMRX and Gallup Sub dispatchers--can you help? Also, are the bridge spans sitting in the Vaughn Yard destined for the second main in Abo Canyon?
I've always wanted to see what it is like in the cab. As a railfan an a model railroader, I can only get close to it using my camera on a flat car behind my NS Dash9-44CW's. lol
Are engineers allowed to let a railfan onboard their locomotive if one where to ask? I live near a yard where NS stores their engines, and I wanna try but I dont know who to ask.
@conrailbuff they are not allowed to but it you get a nice crew sometimes you can get a ride. Just don't post any pictures or videos or talk about your in cab experiences on the internet because you could get the crew fired!
been with the bnsf almost 10 years. currently working out of clovis. as for choo choo u. honestly your going to get picked on, ALOT! it is a ongoing joke about it, but it seems to be the way to get the job. also remember, just because you graduate from there doesn't automatically give you the job. you still have to apply. it just helps your chances of getting on.
awesome vid,my dad works for the bnsf and too works out of clovis to belen.he runs the jackson 6700 in that area and was one of the maijor operators in the abo canyon project.i remember him being almost gone for thanksgiving cause of this project.i wish i could see how it looks finished now cause he was sure proud of it and was his biggest accomplishment of his 31 years with the railroad.you might actually know him...lol great vid

How Long have You Been With BNSF, And Where Are You Based Out Of?
Also, I Plan On Working For BNSF As Well, And Was Wondering What You Think Of The National Academy Of Railroad Sciences?
