@Thejaxxxon I introduce the MM in the enclosure when she was about 2 months into her molt cycle, I them left him in there for 2 weeks and there was no aggression.
It's a signal to any female of his species that he want's to mate. The female sometimes drums back. I guess that the drumming also lets the female know that he is not a prey item. Also I guess that different tarantulas drum to a different beat.
rob good luck on this mating, you told me the last time we talked that you were determined to get these readily available into the hobby! good luck good luck! Reserve one for my buddy.
Yeah, I just like how far away he is. Hehe! I hope all goes well with this. It's doing this hobby good. As Jon would say, "who could resist a blue T?"
WOW! I didn't know they did that! Is that to attract prey or a mate or something??? Could we get an update on the siamese twins??? I learn something new everytime I watch your vids!

At what point did you introduce the MM into her enclosure and how long did you leave him there?
Could you give me a step by step look at how you treated the situation.
Details are very important, you know this.
Thanks in advance my friend. =)

Am I correct in suspecting that if a female is present and he is "off-tune", she'll gobble him up?

That's either one lazy or cautious male. He's like, "Nahhh, you come over here!"
KawaiiKemonomimi 2 years ago
Pokies like to lead the female away sio they can mate on neautral ground or she may be aggressive defending her space!
