thiss remind me of the .09 patch all fire sorc or all nova sorc and nova would clear a hel cow in less then 20 sec its was fun back then now no points of playing d2 unless its pvp in hc.
@virgoshaka9 infinity can break mobs immune because its only at 100res. mob bosses that spawn as lightning enchanted have an extra 75% on top of it and it cant be broken because they are at 175. immunities broken only give you 1/5th damage on them anyways. a 1.3k nova after item -res is applied after 1/5th cut would average 20 nova blasts per group to clear. 20 blasts at 60mana per cast is 1200 mana. annoying to have to pot so much with your es. even with warmth @ 300%+ regen.

I've seen quite a few nova sorcs tele to close to a mana burn pack in a full game and die almost instantly. Also, an es lightning sorc or es fb will ALWAYS kill the es nova w/ infin if it is good. Nova just doesnt have enough damage to win the duel unless the light or es fb sorc can't aim for shit haha.
honestly a light trapper or light sorc with an infinity merc are the two characters that are gonna tank the hardest in hell.. hammerdins are nice but since 1.13 came out immune to magic's are actually immune to magic now which is why it sucks so much doing a baal run with those bastards that raise the cold skeles
your really only fucked in act 5 because act 1-3 you can just tele to the boss and kill and a4 you just kill the 3 uniques but act 5 you HAVE to kill the waves of baals minions and thats really when immunes fuck you.
how do you make something not immune to lightning? at one point you mouse over a unit, it says immune to lightning, next thing you know everything is dead. i'm curious as to how that happened?
it's the Infinity runeword. Put into a 4 socketed polearm. Gives lvl12 Conviction aura, which can break some (mostly lightening) immunities. It's usually given to a merc to carry, but in this vid the sorc carries it.
@BobTheElder ok lets say your a lightning sorc and you wanna solo chaos. you don't have to kill any monsters in chaos besides the 3 unique monsters ( lord de seis and other 2 ) that spawn after you pop the seals. as long as none of the 3 unique monsters are lightning immune, you should be able to solo. once you kill all 3 unique monsters, all the other monsters will die automatically and diablo will spawn.
@BobTheElder Yes they do, this is why you always want an eth CV or eth CA infinity with a fortitude on your merc. Kill everything surrounding the super unique and just wait. If you are a trapsin you have fire blast for the light immunes and packs like burning souls. If the monster is light and fire immune (happens quite often actually) then you would drop death sentry traps and kill the dual immunity faster with corpse explosion (50% phys 50% fire damage) and your merc.
@wackomanx I wouldn't say that d2 is too easy with new runewords. Because they're supposed to be damn expensive and rare. But now with bots/duping/d2 shops we have fully equipped (enigma, hoto, cta) hammerdin bots 3 days after ladder reset running all over the place.
I'm reminiscing over the memories I have of d2 by watching some vidz.
Impressed? not really... but I am satisfied.
To all the disbelievers... read the top right. It's blurred but it clearly says hell. A nova is perfectly capable of doing hell chaos. I used to host runs with one. Nova's are quicker then hdn's. The only downfall is that eventually you will run into a true light immune which infinity doesn't cover. Also the 95 ES is annoying when your cursed and your shield is ignored.

@bboymaroon infinity reduces the resistances of the enemy by i think 65% , immune monsters have about 100 sometimes a bit more res , so with infy you can negate the immunity^^

just a small question, as Nova dont have synergy isnt it pretty bad with nova? i know it had a good minimum possible dmg compared to lightning but still... it has a short range and not even near as much dmg as lightning
@Darklancer951 The reason he has an Infinity as a weapon, is because it gives a Conviction aura, within its' magic properties. Same as Paladin's. It has a chance to roll and immunity break that removes the immunities of monsters that are encountered. Hope it helps.

Not bad. Clearly this is on softcore. Some improvements that could be made to your sorc play is teleing faster/more. Your getting hit a bunch cause your getting too close to the enemies. And always keep that hp at max. It's a good habbit to get use to. =)

seriusly wow is payment why should people get that ??? it sucks and now the free servers all down somehow blizzard worked it out and im thankfull that diablo 3 is coming out much more players gonna join it and good class coming [kind of the best](the witch doctor) ;)

Not bad. Clearly this is on softcore. Some improvements that could be made to your sorc play is teleing faster/more. Your getting hit a bunch cause your getting too close to the enemies. And always keep that hp at max. It's a good habbit to get use to. =)
