@MyszkaxXXx I believe it helps in all those areas. I just ordered mine from crutchfield a few minutes ago. I've read alot of good things about it. This is the first time I've had a good cd player in my car, my Focus has had the stock unit since we bought it new in 2000 and only thing that works is the radio. All I need to do is get some better wiring for the sub and buy some new better 6x8 door speakers.
I'm disappointed because I was looking to be able to take phone calls w/my iPhone 4 over my stereo and initially wanted the blue tooth unit, but the sales person talked me into this unit stating using Bluetooth I would sacrifice sound quality. Told me it did everything else the same, just that the aux device had to be plugged in. wrong. Can't take calls. Also, wish you had gone over playing songs from an iPod on the head unit as well.
@wetard57 I don't think you can. I just bought this dash a couple days ago because i also got sub woofers for my car and i saw a couple customer reviews online saying you cant change the color
I just bought this today, and listened to it for the first time a few minutes ago. It sounds great, and the little 6.5 " speakers I've got right now are pushed more than they were with the stock unit.
The things that appealed to me were:
1- Three preamp outputs
2-The HD radio feature
3-The price (after tax $164)
I installed it myself, and this was the first time I've ever installed a head unit using a harness. It went much more smoothly than I expected, and I am glad I did it myself.
I picked up the HD548U two days ago on the saleswomans advice from Best Buy. I cannot believe what a difference the HD radio makes. This radio even has good sound over stock speakers, which is amazing! I've recommend this radio to at least two friends already looking to replace their Sony and Pioneer radios in their car.
does this add more bass then stock radio also?
