Most of the lyrics here are about the Gallagher's father, blood on the tracks and it must be mine and coming in a mess going out in style are reference, to him being a drunken alcoholic who went awol for days at a time then use to come home pissed out of his head and beat up Noel & Liam (plus their other brother Paul)

Noel has never admitted to the lyrics being about this but that's what I think he is referring to.

When you "meet your maker" it means you've met someone who will beat you at what you think you're best at. So, if you get too big for your boots someone might say "you'll meet your maker soon".

What Noel's saying is he met his "maker" but beat him instead of his maker beating him. I think it's a cool lyric, like most of them in this song
