1) Your focus is a bit off. Attention to detail is important.
2) Having "nothing" else in the scene is less interesting. One can do the same thing is a basic flash video with a still image of the moon passing.
Granted, a full back sky background makes it impossible to do an exposure that captures moon detail + other objects, but therein lies your challenge. For example, have it pass a brightly lit building, where the exposures would be the same.
Indeed the focus is off a bit - this is the best that particular camera could do with the lens extreme zoom setting used. Fortunately, better equipment is on the way!
I've got dozens of Moon sequences, some with other objects and some without... I purposely try to shoot a wide variety of scenes, including very basic ones like this. I never know exactly what needs someone may have, and having other objects in frame may not be desirable in some cases.
