@vladut15bis The 10,000 frames/sec would be running the game in ultra-high definition. Think ultra-highspeed cameras that allow you to see incredible detail that the human eye could never see. The game itself would still be moving forward at the normal rate, but you could record video of it at 10,000 fps which could be played back in ultra slow motion allowing you to literally see the bullets in flight so to speak. That's what I meant, so I didn't mean to confuse anyone.

it should perform better than that. you can't have much more activated in terms of game settings than I, and I play at 30-60 fps on very high settings with a single 5850. crysis obviously doesn't support tri-crossfire, deactivate one of the cards and it should get a lot better.

@Bikertothemax1 not the size of the monitor but the resolution of the monitor(more pixels mean you'll need more graphics power).

For example in Crysis even with a bit of antialiasing(smooths any jagged edges but uses more resources) at 1280x1024 or maybe even 1680x1050 the HD 5770 1GB or GTX 260 will be more than enough.

But at 1920x1080(1080p) or higher then a GTX 275 or HD4890 or higher will be needed for a smooth framerate, hope this answers your question and it's not too late(2 weeks ago).

MSIs new hydra technology, but I would not recommend you to use it as for now its rly new and in my opinion it may cause performance to be worse thn just one of card. A single 5870 running @ stock settings will get an average of 40FPS exactly running the Crysis Benchmark Tool using "Very High" settings @ 1920x1080 without AA. With 8xAA, a single 5870 will get near 34FPS.

that is not what benchmarks tell me, and also all SLI or CF has microstudder and the studder is much worse with 3 than 2

Excuse me but all benchmarks out except for the Dirt 2 ones were used with 9.8A and 9.10 RC6 drivers which were HORRID and PATHETIC to say the least. This card has since been redeemed starting with 9.11 and really taking off with 9.12!

I have experienced not one single hint of microstuttering with this setup. It just doesn't happen on these cards unlike the ATI 4xxx and all Nvidia SLI and Tri-SLI rigs.

That is one of the beauty of running the 5xxx cards in CD ---> NO MICROSTUTTERING :)

That is 100% incorrect. Ever since the 9.11 drivers, scaling was improved and with the 9.12 drivers, scaling is almost at 90%. That is an extremely job well done on ATI's part.

There will "never" be any scenario on any game where a single 5870 would beat out 2 or 3.

Yes, youtube does "not" do the game justice. It has been "proven" that ATI's 5xxx series cards have the best picture quality in the world now thanks to their new and improved AA and AF algorithms. There is nothing that even compares including the Nvidia 200(b) based GPUs.

I have two 260/216s and the picture quality they give out is NOT EVEN CLOSE to that of these beasts.

It isn't only how many FPS your system can crank out but also the "QUALITY" of those frames.

FRAPS, the recording program, really takes a chunk out of your fps. When FRAPS was not going, it wouldn't do that.

The good thing now is that with the new 9.12 whql drivers, I can run the above butter smooth with only 2 5870s enabled @ 24xMSAA, 16xAF & vsinc @ 60hz(60fps) :)

That is what I used before I realized that this mod existed a few weeks ago. I used CCC 2.21 with its highest level. However, in my personal opinion. there simply is no comparison at all between this Real Lifesis mod and the CCC config. This mod blows CCC config out of the water. I'm not just talking by a small margin either. I'm talking by an extremely large margin.

As of right now, this is the best mod available IMO. I've tried all of them too :)
