I really appreciate you taking the time to these videos and I absolutely adore G-Stomper. But I have to say, as someone new to these kind of apps, well there's a lot to be desired from this tutorial. It would be much better if there was an audio or on screen narration going on. I hope you'll make some concise videos soon, thanks.
@DrPiranha Maybe a good help: Have you already checked out the PDF Usermanual at the G-Stomper website? Sorry, can't post links here, you'll find a link in the G-Stomper Help/About section (in-app) or in the video description above. It contains detailed descriptions for every single feature (as well as a quick guide at the beginning)
Thanks for the response - it sounds like one pattern that I use in all pattern sets might be broken as you suggest. Would the best way to test that be to try and load the patterns one by one? - if I find a bad one - do I just write over the top of it or is there a way to delete it? Cheers
@cphmau The simpest solution is definitely first finding the corrupt one, then overwrite it with a new valid pattern with the same name. You could could also handle it by replacing the file directly by connecting the phone as mass storage to your computer, but thats just mor complicated. As far as I see your on Gst 1.3, while the latest version is 1.3.6. There will be a fix for loading pattern sets containing corrupt or not existant patterns in 1.3.7. Please let me know it it works.
Hey - nice program! - I dig everything you put in there BUT it crashed as I was saving a pattern set and now will not load most of the pattern sets! : ( - Just before it crashed - the song slowed down HEAPS and started playing at a lower pitch ... I tried to save before quitting - it hung on the save command and then when rebooted - as I said - will not load most of the patterns. Any hints? Is this a memory problem? - - am using HTC Incredible S... any hints much appreciated.
I just checked your device specs, which should be alright. Sounds strange to me that it will not load "most" of your pattern sets, even if you reboot your phone.. That the playback was slowing down and changed the pitch sounds very much like a lower level crash on the audio interface driver or a part of the os. Please mail me on the address provided in the google market or in the help about section. The max size of the youtube postings is way too small with 492 chars for this. thanks
In what way does it not load the pattern sets? Is there any error message?
What kind of samples did you use? Could it be, that you imported a very huge sample bank from your sd card (containing thousands of samples)?
Could it be that just one pattern is broken, and you use this pattern in all the pattern sets, which won't load any more? If so, it could be fixed within the next update. I did something similar for missing samples.
