Yup, that's one way to look at it (I'm the red medic in this, btw -- too bad my harness was off in this clip; it's on-model now). But, yeah... I work in the entertainment business where people make a living at props and costume design, so why not have it as a hobby? And even though it's primarily a hobby for me, I have gotten freelance work making promotional props for gaming shops and whatnot via cosplay conventions.
