@demoskunk I actually find this method of evangelism to be very warped. Not that it's statements are untrue, but that it gives people a wrong idea about there moral own position and God. God is infinite power that exists outside the universe as we see it, that created it. He created human to live in a sort of fellowship with Him that no other being at that time had. We were created as naturally "good" (by God's definition) beings. We were created with a free will, in the image of God.

We are born sinners just like lions are born carnivores. But God still had the same love for us that He had when we were perfect, in the image of His perfection. God manifested Himself as a human taking on all human characteristics, lived a full human life, and was murdered by His own creation.

The reason Ray is asking these questions is to help others see their own sin before God. Ray does this out of love because God has shown Ray his own sin and Ray has received God's mercy and wants to extend it to others. Ray does not claim to be innocent of breaking the commandments, actually the fact that he is leading this helping lead Randy to repentance suggests that he is the opposite of self righteous - he sees his own sin and is humble enough to try and help others repent and trust Jesus
If you would actually listen to him you would understand that he has asked himself these questions and he would be the first one to admit that he is also guilty of breaking every one of the 10 commandments. That's the point!! That what made him realize that faith in Christ is the only way to be declared righteous in the eyes of God. At no point does he even hint that he is able to fulfill those commandments.

Two things you need to do to be saved: Confess Christ as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead.

There are three we can know God is real. One is to look at creation. When you look at a painting, you know there must be a painter. It's the same with creation. Because there is a creation, with all it's wonders/details, there must be a creator. It's not logical that it all happened by chance. Another is to acknowledge we all have a conscience, something God gave us to know the difference between good/evil. Some dull their conscience/don't listen to it, but we all have one. 3rd, read the Bible.

This could be used as a very powerful way to share one's faith in Christ. Romans 3:23 says "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God". Romans 6:23 says "For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." The words of Pual the Apostle in Acts 16:31 tells us "So they said, 'Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved, you and your whole household.'"

Rebellion against all of God's commands, including but not limited to the Ten Commandments, will be judged. Romans 2:1-16 (kinda long but pretty clear), Revelation 20:11-15 "according to what they had done" (ESV) Matthew 7:21-23 "...depart from me, you workers of lawlessness." (ESV) (Not abiding any law.) And then of course, Galatians 3 :-)

Ray, i love you. This method is revolutionary. I can't get enough of seeing these. It's vital to explain the parachute analogy to everyone of them. You wouldn't trust that a parachute exists before jumping, you'd PUT IT ON and trust your life with it. There IS a difference. I grew up hearing all you have to do is believe in Jesus Christ. "Walker" only becomes a meaningful word when it's taken to mean: somebody who walks so well/often/fast, that it becomes a meaningful description. Same goes for lying: only when you do it relatively often, does it make sense to use the word "liar". Kill just one man, and you're way above average. That's the difference.

Actually, when you've told lies in your life, it doesn't make you a liar. It only makes you a liar when it you do it so often or so gravely that it can be used to describe you, that it is something that sets you apart from most other people. It's generic. Every little radical offshoot of Christianity, [and most major religions as a matter of fact ] is righteously fanatical about their view being the ONLY way. However if anyone is helped by this stuff practically by helping them change their life around then good stuff. @demoskunk I actually find this method of evangelism to be very warped. Not that it's statements are untrue, but that it gives people a wrong idea about there moral own position and God. God is infinite power that exists outside the universe as we see it, that created it. He created human to live in a sort of fellowship with Him that no other being at that time had. We were created as naturally "good" (by God's definition) beings. We were created with a free will, in the image of God.

We are born sinners just like lions are born carnivores. But God still had the same love for us that He had when we were perfect, in the image of His perfection. God manifested Himself as a human taking on all human characteristics, lived a full human life, and was murdered by His own creation.

The reason Ray is asking these questions is to help others see their own sin before God. Ray does this out of love because God has shown Ray his own sin and Ray has received God's mercy and wants to extend it to others. Ray does not claim to be innocent of breaking the commandments, actually the fact that he is leading this helping lead Randy to repentance suggests that he is the opposite of self righteous - he sees his own sin and is humble enough to try and help others repent and trust Jesus

If you would actually listen to him you would understand that he has asked himself these questions and he would be the first one to admit that he is also guilty of breaking every one of the 10 commandments. That's the point!! That what made him realize that faith in Christ is the only way to be declared righteous in the eyes of God. Jesus Christ's sacrifice on the cross is the complete and finished work of salvation to all those who believe. By conviction of the knowledge of sin we must repent to God(say sorry) for our own sins. To say we must also turn from our sins in the future (as a requirement to salvation) is to add "works". There are three we can know God is real. One is to look at creation. When you look at a painting, you know there must be a painter. It's the same with creation. Because there is a creation, with all it's wonders/details, there must be a creator. It's not logical that it all happened by chance. Ray is a good guy but the problem with this is there was no godly sorrow working repentance, there was no brokeness for offending s holy God, no convition (rather laughter), if people truly realize what they have done and more so what they are they will be crying for mercy. Hypocrite literally means "to play a part" or "pretend". So in actuality, you cannot have a real Christian who is a hypocrite, because that would imply they are a real pretend Christan. A real Christian living by God's Word would not live in sin or practice a sinful lifestyle. I'm not saying that Christians are perfect. This could be used as a very powerful way to share one's faith in Christ. Romans 3:23 says "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God". Romans 6:23 says "For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." The words of Pual the Apostle in Acts 16:31 tells us "So they said, 'Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved, you and your whole household.'"

I fully agree with you, Shellieda. I believe and always supported Ray Comfort because his teachings is backed up 100% by the Bible. Anyone who doesn't agree with that...needs to re-examine their hearts.

I don't agree with Ray Comfort, and I doubt he thinks too highly of me, but I'll always respect and admire him. I realize he doesn't need that from me, but I wanted to post it for the record.

It does not matter what he thinks of you, it is what God think of us. God loves you very much and the only think Ray is doing is trying to let you wake up so you will be in heaven one day with Jesus for eternety. He does it because he cares for you and Jesus loves you. Ray does not benefit anything from you if you do good or bad. God bless you.

Rebellion against all of God's commands, including but not limited to the Ten Commandments, will be judged. Romans 2:1-16 (kinda long but pretty clear), Revelation 20:11-15 "according to what they had done" (ESV) Matthew 7:21-23 "...depart from me, you workers of lawlessness." (ESV) (Not abiding any law.) And then of course, Galatians 3 :-)

So why does God gave the commandements if it's not for judging men? When Christ become your Lord and Savior, you're no more under the law! But:
He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. Jn 14;21
And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. Mt 19;17

Ray, i love you. This method is revolutionary. I can't get enough of seeing these. It's vital to explain the parachute analogy to everyone of them. You wouldn't trust that a parachute exists before jumping, you'd PUT IT ON and trust your life with it. There IS a difference. I grew up hearing all you have to do is believe in Jesus Christ. That's not true. You have to actively trust in Him. Lord bless you and Kirk and your entire ministry. This is truly the Lord's work on earth.
