The new holding money for 21 days, to me, a five year seller with 100% rating, ruins my accounting methods. No more Ebay or Paypal here. Changed to Amazon, and haven't felt the change in my sales. While I did have to do the 14 days wait for first transfer, after that I can do transfers as soon as shipping is entered. Not cool, but, stuck here.

Geeze... First ebay charges you a listing fee, 2nd they charge a final value fee, 3rd they charge you a commission fee on paypal, and 4th you gotta add shipping & handling to that.

I have to be honest - as long as all deals go smoothly then nobody has issues. But a few months ago I sold an item on Ebay to a buyer in Japan. 7 weeks later they say they have not recieved the item and claim a refund through PAYPAL. I looked into the buyers history. The buyer has 'private feedback' but you can search which items they have bid on. I contacted most sellers and asked if any problems.

So far 8 out of 20 sellers (including me) have said the buyer has claimed a refund for non delivery. I called PAYPAL and advised them of this but they said its not their problem and refunded the buyers money from my account and nothing I could do about it.

This is clearly fraud and I confronted the buyer in an email about and the buyer got very angry asking how can I see their history, data protection rights, human rights and every other kind of rights - except honest seller rights. PAYPAL and Ebay stink - take note!!!!

As far as we sellers know a buyer may file claims for everything they buy. Not allowing sellers to leave buyer feedback at least among the top rated members is really reckless and abetting crime. Paypal and eBay do NOT earn their fees with current system. Established sellers with success rates over 99% should be better protected and better served.

Folks, please keep in mind that eBay is not a place to make money. eBay is a place to gamble. You have to be willing to lose money on eBay so you can see how much you will get in return if your product sells. It's more like paying someone to do a website for you instead of doing it yourself. eBay is classified as gambling. That's what eBay is for. And if you're looking to make money on eBay, then you are in the wrong place.

Pay Pal and ebay are the same company, when a user has an issue ebay or paypal agent say they are different companies however whatever happens in a transaction they share all your info and act together to take measures actions and punishment against a user.. It is true when you enroll in their system you agree that your money and products are now theirs. Government should take an action on them!

I just bought an el-cheapo MP3 player of ebay. Turns out it was a hacked memory (advertised 16gb, really 2gb). Paypal will return the money, but only after:

* I send it back to china,

* at my expense, (about 50% of what I paid)

* registered

* and the seller confirms it's the same

So I can risk sending it back, and loose 50% of what I paid. Or keep it. Either way, ebay/paypal make money.

I'll be complaining to paypal directly.

Its funny ... PAYPal tells you that your covered as a buyer or seller. As a buyer, I got a counterfiet item that was knockoff Abercrombie and when I wanted to get my money back, they said I had to bring the item to Abercrombie's store and get a letter from the Manager saying its fake, which Abercrombie will not do. Even if I got the letter I would have had to ship the fake item back to the seller at MY EXPENSE! So they could just relist it on the site. EBay is REAAAAALLY safe. Riiiiiight.

I recently lost $100 when I sold something to someone who paid with a stolen credit card through PAYPal. PAYPal reversed the charge after it was shipped. EBay does not allow people to post 'personal stories of fraud' on its chat boards. Within 5 minutes my warnings to other EBayers were removed. It took them over 48 hours to investigate my report that the buyer was using stolen cards. In that time, he bought $1000 worth of other goods. Shows where EBay's priorities are time wise huh???

I change my card on regular basis. I am not paranoid, just carefull. It's not just because of Ebay but of anyone that I pay to using the card.

Privacy policies mean nothing. How come that every time I apply for a new card, few days later I get a bunch of letters from other banks offering better rates etc. How did they found out? Off course, my bank sells my info.

You apply for credit, and inquiry hots 1 to 3 o your reports, the scum bag credit bureaus then notify companies of this and they off or ask you to apply with them. They share your name, address, age, income, demographics of where you live, etc. You need to OPT out of these lists. ALso, do NOT apply by mail for credit. Up here in the United States eBay lowered their listings fees [only by 5 cents in some cases], but than INCREASED the Final Value Fee by 67% for the lowest level (up to US$25).

Everyone up here in the States is counting on you folks to voice your concerns to the ACCC and STOP eBay/PayPal from implementing these changes.

If eBay gets away with it down there, they will do it EVERYWHERE!!!! :-(
