"J" Valve, or "K" vlave I am sure you are right it's been 35 year since I have dove with one. I still like having some reserve to draw from. Thanks for correcting me... LOLROFL like someone really cares.
I love the endings--where's the old boat headed in the noir world, alone on the stark 60's sea? It's great that someone has finally dug the show out and re-mastered it!
"I took her to a no tell motel near the beach, bought a bottle of cheap wine and a pack of Luckys. I figured what the hell, I was out fifty bucks. While I kept pouring the booze, she began to loosen up more than just words. I didn't ask her any questions. Just let the Thunderbird wine do the talking for me. Or rather for her. She was a tramp alright. I knew that the minute I pulled her from the sea. My mermaid if you will. I told her I loved her. I've told countless cheap broads this. Well...
Now that's real diving no computers, no depth gauges, tripple tanks, no BCD's, just a J valve when you run out of O2 (air) just pull the rod, no tank pressure gauges, no cushy straps, no silicone masks, no split fins with booties. Wooden boats. Double hoses on a single stage regulator exhaust out the back. Talk about a time capsule. Two thumbs up and 60 feet down.
Yea Sea Hunt was sure primitive. It needed something modern like a talking boat or give Mike a big black partner who would go around yelling he pitied the sea fools!
Have to laugh at clever comment. Watched Seahunt as kid and this was hi-tech new sport and adventure, loved it. New shows seem to require same characters, village idiot, gay guy, black guy, dumb girl, wise girl, geek guy, and the future hi tech gizmos. Filmed in black and white, values and stories were seen the same way. G'day Mate
Wait, Mike Nelson? Does this guy have any connection to the Mike Nelson on MST3K?

I used to love this show as a child. Now I know it was all shot in a swiming pool. So disappointed.

I love the "uniforms" :). The COOL thing is he does wear a genuine UDT diver's WWII 'Canteen' dive watch in this episode. Great Series!!

What was Mike Nelson's rank in the Navy? Pretty sure I remember him being called Commander Nelson in an episode.

What a great show this was, Lloyd Bridges was the best. And thank you, Frederic Ziv for bringing this show to us!

@Ollivander12 sorry the ''j'' valve is the straight, and the one with the three minute- 300 psi-- is refered to as a ''k'' valve
