About Fist's cameo, I think its freaking awesome that after playing Mass Effect 1-2 about 10 times that just yesterday as I was doing a female Sheppard campaign I discovered Fist sitting at a bar in Omega. I was like HOLY CRAP I thought I'd seen everything. Apparently not, there is just that much to the game. That and I never saw him because I always choose Wrex, why? Why the hell not!

i thought that wepons and armor mod system was pretty cool actually but it did get kinda annoying sometimes. like id be in the middle of a mission and i"d find like a wepon or something that wanted to use thats when it got annoying because i'd be really into the mission and i really didnt wanna stop deal with the mods and shit. but i didnt feel it took away from the overall experience, its still an AWSOMETACULAR game even with the flaws

mkocja5a, me2 is NOT overrated. and for all of you who say mass effect 1 was better...it wasnt. sorry. you are wrong. mass effect, when it first came out, was awesome. but the whole land rover thing...and finding barely anything, was a straight up crock. it was a complete waste of time. granted, me2's "searching for minerals" side quests on the planets wasnt anything special, but at least in the end you could get something out of it. me2 improved upon everything the first one did. end.

I absolutely loved ME2 and ME1 had some problems (I hated having to haul all the weapons and select the weak ones after every single mission in the second part of the game). ME2 was too casual tho, at least they are having some RPG aspects back in ME3.

As a games designer, I loved Mass Effect. Yup. PLayed it 4 times. I'm busy playing Mass Effect 2 at the moment. I like it. But it just doesnt have the charisma that the 1st one had.

Also, where are the scenes where you can take that buggy and explore planets. Rather, they present you with planets to plant your probes, which gathers materials foryou. BO-RING!

I always find this section of the game like a big chore. Bo-ficking-ring! BUt it's still a great game!

@Domzdream definitely agree, they improved some things like enemy AI and the sidemissions (they are amazingly better/more epic) but i do miss the buggy. The firewalker addon is nice, but i prefer the MAKO exploring planets and having Thresher Maws scare the crap out of me.

Mass Effect 1 was pretty much a technically unfinished game, so that's why a lot of the mechanics weren't very polished or improved. But damn, even with those issues, it was still a brilliant game. It says a lot about BioWare when they make a Game-of-the-Year worth game which had a lot of technical issues.

You didn't have any problem with ME2's plot? it was painful in some parts, especially when they r talking about the collectors hitting Earth. Seriously your 1 tiny small frigate is able to take this thing on so how is it going to get past the bulk of the human fleet?

@SonnyXCV I would say that the Fallout games were amazing till the 3rd one came out once they made it a FPS based game while good they were no longer that great. Grew bored of both Fallout 3 and New Vegas really quickly and even in hardcore mode they are hardly challenging. Want a challenging game try something like Demon Souls want a RPG try Planetscape Torment both games I dont think you would ever regret

Nice review man, love this game, playing it at the moment. Though i do like having control over my "stuff". People kinda went crazy complaining about it and Bioware went "Oh shit!" and kinda... destroyed the inventory system in ME2. So instead of an overcomplicated inventory it was like... no inventory. It has kinda de-evolved from an action RPG to just a shooter with a couple of choices. Hopefully ME3 has the right ammount of action and RPGing and then ME2 can be the dark Empire of the trilogy

You should play Mass Effect 2 Jeremy. The decisions you made in 1 will affect 2 and will affect 3 when it comes out. You will want to play the game over and over for different stories lol.

Here's the bad stuff: Most of the game is ripped from Star Control II, including story. Most dialogue is superficial, including interaction with the world and the effects. If you ever played Fallout or Baldur, you know. The game does not continue on the sequel, just few very little tiny moments. And most of the game is generic. it's an ok game, far from anything fantastic. But hey, who am I to tell, indeed, when the masses fall under the effect.

@lakbpm816 The PS3 version is actually way worth it, but only if you have your PS3 set up to the internet. The PS3 version has improved graphics, tweaked gameplay and comes with a bunch of free DLC on the disk. If you don't have an internet connection, however, you can't download the interactive comic that lets you chose what happened during the events of ME1, so you have to play the default backstory. The original was a great game, though, and I'd recommend that if your PC can handle it.
