Most NES emulators should have an option to use Game Genie codes. Usually they are named something like "Game Genie" or "Cheats", it depends on the emulator.

I've used a Game Genie on a real system a lot and I've never seen it ruin any game or console. I've never heard anybody actually experience anything like that, but I have heard the rumor sometimes.

It doesn't. But what it sometimes do if you have a save game, it have a chance to corrupt it. All I did for years on end when I first got the game genie is burn the hell out of it. The game genie itself died, but the console and game were okey.

Hehe, using game genie is as close to game hacking as you can get back in the day.

Yes, you download them. A ROM file is basically a single game. Google search for "Super Mario Bros. ROM Download" to search for the game. Remember that downloading games you don't actually own is illegal, you need to own a legit copy first.

Uh, no, because ZSNES is a Super Nintendo emulator. The only way to play it on ZSNES would be to either play the version on Super Mario All-Stars, or get somebody to create some sort of SNES ROM version of it (similar to the A&S hacks).
