  • omg....this song is the shit!!! Loved it when it first came out and still do!!!

  • Paul Rodgers is one of the best vocalists.

  • isn't that les paul as the bartender?

  • @mjt11860 right-o. nice one

  • @mjt11860 Yes it it

  • this is so much better than Radioactive

  • i never thought of this song oozing sex. More like a guy getting it up the...every time he turns around. I love it..i mean the song

  • I love this song, and I'm just stupid...

  • Tommy Shaw playing bass says all. As if his hairdo doesn't tell all. They didn't do this song serious... It's still up there with "Sweet Home Alabama" though...

  • @saturnionable Ummmm......Noooo that is Tony Franklin on bass not Tommy Shaw.

  • Paul looks a bit like Jimmy at Knebworth...

  • THE BLONDE AT 3;04-5 IS FUCKIN HOT

  • @56willyd literally..lol

  • Love this collaboration. I was shocked when they came out, the Firm was not as popular as they should have been, Truly tragic. And who are the trolls who say they don't like this. They can kiss my naturally white ass.

  • Two words. Jimmy Page. Allways been a fan of the man.One of the better 80's group that came out. Of course , thats just my opinion

  • @hicknan219 Agreed!

  • Was this filmed in the joint named "The Owl"? Usually beer was served from Mason Jars. The fellow in the white suit out in the audience is usually played by Orson Wells, Sydney Greenstreet or Burl "Big Daddy" Ives. Fine tune and good video - thanks for the posting....

  • All class & noting but! I have very fond memories of taking my die hard Jimmy Page fan g/f to see The Firm in concert at the Concord Pavilion up in the Bay Area in 1985 (was it?)

The show couldn't have been better... great music... great venue... I wish that I could turn the clock back to those years, I didn't realize how good they were. :tearing up:

  • There's a cloud above me, and it seems to hide the way. Always have loved this song.

  • Awesome song!

  • I love this video and song. The best part is Page grabbing the Heineken. Love it!!! What a musician.

  • Jimmy Page is awesome

  • Our song Sandy...

  • I was 10 years old when this album came out and now im 38...guess what...im still hooked loved both albums.

  • I got my first blow job from an 'older woman' (I was 17) while parked down by the river on a moonlit night-this song was playing in the truck. Memories... ; )

  • despite all the retrospect on where, when and why they did a video like this and in a small bar, this song _ucking ROCKS.....

  • flea is bass!!

  • Lol, just looked at it again, they are playing at Les's Place.

  • Where did the Central American bar thing come from??? Page and Rodger's heavy blues riffs and slide guitar would lead me to believe this is supposed to be in a hot sultry Mississippi blues bar in June. Am I the only one who sees this?

  • i love the firm......but who the hell is the bass and drums?

  • who is the THING at the bar?

  • LOL thanks you i believe you!!

  • BUD LIGHT...Satisfaction Guaranteed.

  • WTF! Who is the dude w/the tumbleweed on his head?

  • @BerettaM9USAF : That chap is Tony Franklin.

He is credited with introducing the fretless bass to the heavy metal and hard rock audiences, as the fretless bass is not commonly heard in these genres.

In January 2006 Fender introduced the "Tony Franklin Precision Bass, a Fretless bass in tribute to Tony.

  • @bvallier100 Thx for info! Did not know that he was that influential. In the 80's half of the chaps in the vid's were not even real musicians. Thought for sure he was one of those "musicians".

  • @BerettaM9USAF ---LMOA!

  • I wished he'd [Jimmy] would wear the Wizard outfit again! It was the height of his talent and his heroin usage.... is there a connection?

  • Jimmy really showed em who's "In The Mood" for a melody

  • This song KICKS ass........

  • the 1980s will never die as long as this video exists

  • the bass player needs to share some of that hair with the drummer

  • @ 40 secs in that is charleze theron

  • @MsJimizeppelin I Thought the same! Haha Looks just like her..

  • @MsJimizeppelin lol no,she was only 9 when this video came out

  • love, love, love this song!!

  • Tony Franklin is Da man!!! Blue Murder rocks!!!

  • I like so much this music...this video ! Thank you !

  • Pretentious Rock Excess: See Jimmy Page. He pulls it off though. The guy's a legend.

  • @livininomaha What part is pretentious?More like genious lyrics

  • Thumbs Up if LED ZEPPELIN brought you here

  • It makes me sad that there isn't music made like this anymore. It's all Bieber bullshit, Fergie slut-pop and no-talented hip-hop shit. Music today is dead.

  • Les Paul at the bar is a touch of elite appreciation.

Who keeps taking "Tear Down The Walls" main vid of The Firm from youtube?

If it is who I think it is I will catch up with them and remind them of their dark past!

  • sexy sultry song.............

  • Great Show ! New Orleans Lake Front Arena ")

  • for 12 people there is just no satisfying them. poor suckers

  • I'd forgotten...this song just oozes sex

  • I cannot believe nobody here caught the Guitar Legend Les Paul cameo at 0:17

  • this is just rubbish.check page.he looks sickly.this was the height of his cocain addiction.

  • @rcfirdy You mean heroin. Jimmy was on the junk. Don't get it twisted..I'm sure they had their share of coke..but his addiction was with H.

  • If Jimmy Page and Paul Rogers were performing in some Central American bar, unannounced, it would be about this empty. What do they care about your idols? The jingoism of these videos is so funny! Like the hot chicks of Third World countries are all excited about British rock stars! it's funny!

  • @vcx9dfne heee heee heee shut up! 3rd world 4th world?? 1,2,3,4,5,6.....The universe loves this!

  • I saw these guys twice in Philly, '85, '86.... got so drunk and stoned the second time I missed Jimmy's solo.... too busy puking at my seat.

  • I mean, as a video, this is almost stupid. I mean, more stupid than the norm.

  • @vcx9dfne I really don’t think 80’s rock vids are the place to seek cultural accuracy or intellectual edification. It’s a song about a guy trying to fuck his girlfriend, not about any nation/people’s racial heritage. There are, believe it or not, art forms where you’ll find more the latter and less the former—but that doesn’t mean the former should be outlawed.

  • @freddietz96 You know I'm goofing on it. It's as absurd as the Duran Duran videos of the same era and same theme and same ethnic if not geographical area. And it isn't 80's rock video; it's any rock performance of any kind (since 1982 or so), always imbued with juvenile fantasies. I love this video and watch it!

  • @vcx9dfne I just miss the adolescent culture I grew up in; more fun than where society’s parade seems headed. And did the baby-boomers steal from non-Anglo cultures? Yep—and I guess I could write my congressman, but I’m more like, “Hey, how ’bout some more Murray Head?” [Oh—and how do I know you’re young? That comment about what women go for in boyfriends: gorillas, anemics & mental patients is the correct answer.]

  • It's not as if some South American hot chick would find a pale-faced and skinny English rock band all that attractive. They usually prefer men. Even if they sported a violin bow or wore a scarf, they aren't very cool. This is a juvenile fantasy, and I like it, but I can't take it seriously in any dimension.

  • Gee, you think this is a fantasy? Hot but cool "exotic" chicks? The Firm happening to be playing in some local cantina? Without amps? Page playing slide with a real bottle as if he were an authentic black man? Do you all lose all sense of reality and what's being done to you?

  • If Jimmy Page were really performing in a random bar with Paul Rodgers, it would NOT be nearly empty like that.

  • the first time i heard this song was the very day i met my husband back in march of 1985.........27 years later we're still together and its been satisfaction guaranteed all the way.

  • Saw them in concert, what a fucking show!!

  • Use to play the hell out of this album. Now have the cd and doing the same thing. Watched Paul Rodgers a couple of weeks ago and his voice is still strong.

  • 1:41 <3 ♥

  • I love the fact that Les Paul is standing behind the bar.

  • @43bumpy Jimmy had a great relationship with Les Paul

  • @43bumpy Well, naturally! It's "Les' Place"! 0:03

  • At 1:53 , Jimmy Page provides an epic response to these three questions: Jimmy,do you have an answer for those who say you aren't the greatest lead guitarist of all time? And...does it sometimes becomes unbearable being said greatest lead in rock history...and...can you reply without words, during the middle of a solo, in which you dispose of your cherished bow for a beer bottle in a way that also doubles as a metaphor for how hard you've rocked us all?

  • @NilDesperandum777 couldn't have stated it any better!!!!!!!

  • @fmay1964 Cheers, man ;)

  • @NilDesperandum777 I have to like this comment so bad

  • @SARJake Because it's so true, isn't it? Thanks, man ;)

  • Oh, and listen to The Firm's live material too and Jimmy solos on that.

  • This brings back memories !!! 1985-the bird great friends ;)

  • DUDE I THOUGHT THE NEVER MADE IT ANYWHERE 250000 NICE!

  • Paul Rodgers has one of the strongest, sexiest, most powerful voices in all of rock and roll.

  • @earthtripgirl

    not true

  • Les Paul @ 0:16!

  • Oh the aftermath....

  • played good chords... :-P

  • jimmy page is the most overrated guitarist in rock; he played good chords but not a lead guitarist. his style is important and led zeppelin for those that followed

  • @sgeorgek1 you are an absolute idiot

  • @sgeorgek1 idiot

  • @sgeorgek1 His solos kicked ass. But if you're one of those that judge him based on the very late Led Zeppelin years and periods afterwards when he wasn't doing a lot of touring and out of practice, then maybe. Otherwise, you know nothing about Jimmy overall lead playing. Guy was a beast back in the day. Listen to the solos on Dazed and Confused from The Song Remains The Same. Then imagine he could play better than that!

  • @sgeorgek1 Here you go: /watch?v=LJf9vUmm7ic < The solo comes in at 3:16 & /watch?v=_bc9m7nbMC4 Then find bootlegs of Led Zeppelin, especially in the early days. The later days he does get sloppy but he was going through personal problems in his life which is most likely the reason why.

  • Oh, and if Jimmy "wasn't a good lead guitar player" he wouldn't have been able to play this whole song: /watch?v=0vtxuQmDoTE

  • when this tune came out it got me laid....

  • @littlewolf60 I was partying at an original BadCo concert when YOU were still in diapers (ha ha) Rock on Paul Rodgers !!

  • I saw the FIRM @ the Worcester Centrum in the late 80's. Jimmy Paige is one of the best guitarists ever !

  • Anyone notice the legendary Les Paul himself in the Video?

  • Holy tits! Is that Les Paul?

  • I am sory for all the young whipper snappers that never got to party to the great 80's music. It kicked ass. It was a good old time. I still appreciate it at 51.

  • Paul Rodgers' voice is so sexy.

  • first concert i ever saw..FIRM rules

  • I was partying this song when allot of you were still in diapers .

  • I'd eat it!

  • I was lucky enough to see them live. This song still gives me goosebumps.

  • jimmy page using the beer bottle as a slide... i love it. lol. he must not like heinekin if that is what it is

  • omg jimmy page made this song so hot

  • Thanks for uploading this. I didn't know they did a video for this.

  • i'm glad they didnt make a run of it, better to end on a high note than fade off.

  • the only thing i can say is 10 people need there heads exaimed awsome song from the past

  • hell of a band to bad they didn't last

  • He was Freddie Mercury's favorite singer.

  • great song

  • maybe JIImmy And Paul coul have come out with something original and surely better than Coverdale/Page,

  • Between Paul Rodgers sexy voice & Jimmy Paiges awesome playing; the Firm was absolutely epic. I will never tire of either.

  • Yes. I produced it and that is indeed Les Paul. The production designer did Cimino's Year of the Dragon. And we pulled this off for $60k.

  • Great album. Too bad they didnt stay together longer. 2 albums wasnt enough.

  • that is Les Paul as the bartender.

  • Talk about a BLAST FROM THE PAST Memories that will never be forgotten Love Ya Mark B. Lori

  • ''I'll never forget you''

  • Is it hot in here or is just me? Jimmy Page and Paul Rodgers on the same stage would make anyone sweat.

  • @capebee saw The Firm live, 3 times. excellent show.

  • @viksox13 I'm jealous. They're an amazing pair.

  • @CherokeeBPM Good eye.

  • best song ever . it will be played at our wedding

  • A mother fuckin' BOTTLE! ♥

  • This video is very Miami Vice.

  • "Head upon the highway, just as fast as I could go

I rode through the night, and halfway through the day-ee-yay

I had no direction, I didn't need a woman to know where I was going

The only thing I knew was that I had to get away-hey-hey"

That verse is so much fun to sing.

  • 9 people didn't receive satisfaction

  • who are the asshole who dislike this song? my god its got Paul Rodgers and Jimmy Page...what more do you want???!!!

  • Jimmy Page is the best. Period.

  • Seeing The Firm In concert just Wow...Just wow...even If Jimmy was in his prime in the 70s still was a good solo in the 80s

  • longe before I knew who Zeppelin or Jimmy Page were , I saw this vid , and i remember thinking "that guitar player is the epitome of cool " Since then I have decided that he is indeed the coolest SOB on planet Earth

  • Les Paul in the building at 0:16 . what could be cooler

  • ^------------- The 2nd comment in the top box is comical!

Jimmy Page replaced Eric Clapton in the Yardbirds in the 60's!!!!

Jimmy page is to Hard Rock as Santana is to Latino/Soft Rock.

They are GODS walking among other musicians.

  • Great song! When this album came out sometime in the 80s I had it on the turntable for about a year.

  • OUTSTANDING JIMMY N PAUL @ THERE BEST !

  • That's Les Paul sitting at the table at the beginning of the video.

  • Love the song - always have. As far as I know this is long out of print and I can't find it on CD anywhere.

On another note, check it out - not that these guys were experts on lip synch'ing, or maybe there were editing or continuity issues, but at 1:56, you can see drummer Chris Slade drinking his beer during the solo when he's supposed to be accompanying the rest of the band! I think that's hilarious personally, and I never caught it on TV at the time it came out!

  • Look at that fuckin' hair!

  • Best song from the firm!, meak or break a CLOSE second!

  • Razor marks on the cover. Know what I mean. ;)

  • damn paul is such a good vocalist

  • One of the Best Tunes ever made.

  • I mean, he would write.

  • This is Jimmy at his Led Zeppelin great. This is the kinda stuff he would wright with zep. I believe i read some where that this was going to be a zep song.

  • GO JIMMY, GO JIMMY!!!!!!!!!

  • I'm gonna leave the past and live just for today..

  • love Tony Franklin's (bass) 80's hair, oh, and Chris Slade's (drums) too!

  • Love this ! one of my favorites.

  • Do you suppose Les said "holy sh!t, is that Jimmy Page with one of my guitars?"

  • Is that the Legendary Les Paul in the video?

  • @rfw45 yes that is the legendary Les Paul as the bartender

  • the video is a little boring... but the bitch is sexy and jimmy rips up the guitar with a bottle.. and its a sick song

  • no one else could play the guitar as well, even with a bottle! Go Jimmy!

  • Haha, Jimmy and Paul kind of look like brothers! Great song, great band. Just what Jimmy and Paul needed at the time.

  • Paul Rodgers is the vocalist, originally lead vocals for Bad company, and then of course theres Jimmy, one of the best guitar players ever.

  • Is that Rob Halford drumming?! lol

  • @reaperflynn3 Noo, thats Chris Slade. He was in 3 different bands, one of um was AC/DC during the Razors Edge album/tour

  • @Thatoneguyfromwalmar lol yeah, i knw him from ac/dc. good drummer

  • Great vocals here.

  • I really liked Jimmy's sound in the 80's. Hard to describe - kind of a cool, blue light in the darkness.

  • Without doubt a top 3 concert I've seen. Was simply amazing. Without playing any zeppelin or bad company, they played for 3 hours. They said when they started writing they had enough for 3 albums right away. However, Page did get the violin bow out and cranked on it with a pyramid of laser lights floating around him. Simply incredible to see live.

  • i said youtube... these fuckers bend things however they want
