  • Just want to say, I've been watching many of your videos and I like them a whole lot. I used to travel quite a bit (usually along the East Coast) and to see these videos means a lot to me. Brings back the travelling vibe in me! Thank you so much!!!! :D

  • @Nonniegirl4Ever Thank you for watching!

  • i wonder what the best bridge is the old chain of rocks bridge or the new mississippi river bridge for interstate 70

  • what is your favorite bridge in the saint louis area

  • @MrSuperRileymoore The Clark Bridge (Cable Stayed)

  • my favorite bridge is the martin luthern king bridge and the new bridge that is going to be built for interstate 70

  • why did they close the mcarthur bridge for route 66 and the old chain of rocks bridge for route 66

  • @MrSuperRileymoore I don't know off hand, you could probably look that up somewhere.

  • what are they going to do with the original interstate 70 bridge across the mississippi known as the popular bridge in saint.louis,mo

  • @MrSuperRileymoore I think that will be I-55 and I-64 will be signed on the Poplar Street bridge

  • cool

  • you should put that I-70 west ends at I-15 in utah

  • When was the Eads Bridge reopened to vehicle traffic? As long as I lived in St. Louis, it was Metrolink and pedestrian only. (It's been a while since I've been up there. Sept 2001). Great video as always, Jim! Makes me homesick for St. Louis!

  • @bogger4fun40 Thanks! I don't know when the Eads was reopened to traffic but I did drive over it in July 2005 on a previous visit.

  • You can NEVER go wrong with Joe Satriani :)

  • What a bright summer day vibe visually and musically! ;.)

  • @0marigolds It was a perfect summer morning for filming everything, glad it translated to video :)

  • Great video as always! =)

  • @Omegasunrise Thank you!

  • @Omegasunrise Thank you!

  • I just loved watching that video. St. Louis is historic in so many ways including the bridges it has. The Eads Bridge was a milestone back in 1874 as Andrew Carnegie's Keystone Bridge Company completed it. James Buchanan Eads designed it.

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE that song!

  • @dave11686 Me too :)

  • awesome collection of bridges. amazing and perfect video to wrap up your st. louis video's ..

  • @ScrewdUPClickV2 Thanks, it was fun to put together.

  • Great work on the video! One thing Ive always wondered is why the MLK Bridge was built so close to the Eads Bridge. Its a great structure but it seems a little redundant. The Mac Arthur Bridge on the other hand would be a great if they ever rebuilt the road deck.

  • @eluko79 Thanks! yes I was a little perplexed at the proximity of the MLK to the Eads too.

  • Yet again, you outdo yourself, Jim.

  • 5:00 talk about a huge improvement lol.

  • This rates right up there with your Cable bridges ofth south great music and video will add it to favorites to watch GREAT JOB.And thank you for the great video of our country and cities.

  • @mutt1256 Thank you very much!

  • Very interesting compilation tour. I want to do something similar.

  • @aswchris Thanks, these are fun to put together.

  • Great compilation and music.

  • @VaFreeways Thanks!

  • Loved every bridge in this tour! That new I-70 bridge looks like it will be quite a sight when it is finished. Thanks for putting something like this together. I enjoy looking at the architecture of bridges; they all kind of have their own character and personality in a way.

  • @CosmoPhotography Thanks, and I completely agree with you about bridge architecture.

  • What a nice city. Much cleaner than Chicago, Houston or LA. Would love to spend more than one day there as all of my past visits have been.

  • @txkid1 Sounds like my visits :) yes it is a nice city.

  • Awesome bridge video man.

  • @cadmusdixon92 Thanks!

  • I like it. I like the video a lot.

  • @bluemoon95 Thank you!

  • Great job with the video! I really enjoyed watching how the Eads Bridge shows a nice view of St Louis as you drive over the Mississippi River into the city.

  • @scottman895 Thank you, to be honest that view is even nicer than the camera lets on.

  • As a St. Louisan, I drove each & every one of those bridges. Thanks for driving through my hometown, @Freewayjim. You're welcome to visit "the Lou" anytime.

  • @etr040764 Thank you, I enjoyed my short stay there.

  • Great video, the views were amazing. I was planning to do a bridge tour at first, but decided not to.

  • @FreewayAndrew Thanks, The bridge tour was my main goal for the morning, I filmed the other stuff along the way.

  • @Freewayjim Also, amazing song!

  • Satriani grows on me every time I hear him.

  • @zach8559 Best I've ever heard!

  • MoDOT and IDOT had to place a concrete barrier on the MLK Bridge. Before, it was a two lane in either direction bridge but after fatal accidents on the bridge, a concrete barrier divided the bridge.

    Great video overall

  • @coldsteel2204 Thank you, and that's a neat factoid!

  • I shot one of my videos intentionally to include this bridge earlier this year

  • Fantastic! I think my favorite out of this group is the Clark Bridge. Had no idea it existed in the Greater St. Louis metro. Thanks for also including the pictures and information about I-70 Mississippi River Bridge; I was wondering what that was all about.

  • @FreewayBrent Thanks! The Clark Bridge was a nice surprise when I was scouting this as a potential video on Google Earth.
