  • For being a small engine they're quite fast. I've got one and there's a handful of cars in my city that are faster and there in a different league all together. Such as STI's, Evo's, 5.0 Mustangs, 350z, 370z. But those are also all around $60,000 for a car. So they cant really be judged on the same level. Its just like how those cant keep up the the couple Ferrari's and Lamborghini's here.

  • @quinktillius first of all you can get a used 370z from like 20,000 and all the rest for a llittle less so get your facts straight. 60000 would get you a brand new bmw m3 or a porsche caymen and maybe a used 2007 nissan gtr

  • @freeridecarver Unfortunately for me where I live they just don't go for that. I was talking about new price btw. A new BMW M3 here runs about $80,000 which I know is only 20 different but still a fair chunk of change for people. I'm not calling you wrong with your numbers or anything but there is a bit of a difference with the costs of things depending on location.

  • Correct me if I'm wrong, but, doesn't the Nissan have a 3.5? The XRS is a 2.4, right? So, the guy below doesn't quite make sense...would a 2.3 Ranger beat a 3.5 Ecoboost F150? Um, no. Ok

  • @135yota The 05-06 XRS have a 1.8 in them.

  • what the xrs didnt win? howd that happen i thought they were the fastest thing on wheels no car can beat an xrs havnt u seen the vids? s2000? thats easy, swaped eg's,cake walk, tuned civics? mear childs play. hahahahahahaah

  • how much does one of these swaps cost? i wanna put it in my fx16

  • ZRE152 Owner here :)

  • How did you beat an evo- it this z walked you? Pshh... The corrola needs to stay in 14sec honda territory- it's not ready for the big boys yet!

  • @CtRacerX lol true, and i have a corolla xD

  • If it was a supra then may be it will win

  • A stuck 350z has 3000 horse power and more so no contest

  • @czf21

    yeah, 3000.

  • @TheCorollaXRS close enough right? D:

  • Def not a HR. I have an 2008 Z now.. Nice run btw! I used to have 00 GT-S Tuned, PPE race header, kazuma, blah blah blahh.

  • @JOHNBe001 i think it is an HR. look at the hood, hard to tell without being closer. 08 HR owner.

  • Not a HR z. they have a different hood. thats a rev up (06) the z pulled then let off other wise it would have walked the xrs. good race none the less

  • stock 350z's are slow, ive hardly seen them win a race unless theyre tuned up

  • stock 350z's are slow, ive hardly seen them win a race

  • They need to stop hatin. This is a 1.8 liter 4 banger vs 3.5 liter v6!!! Pretty impressive for a corolla. I love my 05 xrs I just wish I can adjust my lift to come on at 6k instead of 6700

  • nice if u had some valve springs n cams... this race would of been a piece of cake for the xrs

  • @xstr8kl0wninx and if the Z had some cams the race would have a piece of cake. believe me even with cams the corolla would not win in a 1/4 mile race or a mile race.

  • @Zswag22

I see that you are searching for more XRS vs 350Z videos.. And I see that you are intrigue of this 1.8L 2zz-ge, it seems that you haven't heard about it before.

If I have a Z, I'd try to compare it to car in its class not econo cars. But I guess you find your Z comparable to this econo car.

  • @TheCorollaXRS lol intrigued yes makes me wanna go find a xrs tom and race it. i mean come on why would i hear about a corolla? its a 15 sec car. im trying so hard to stop modding my z because as soon as the next is out im getting it and i wont have to worry about econo cars doing crazy tricks.

  • @Zswag22 the z pulled away from 3rd gear, couple of inexpensive mods the xrs would be alright.

  • @xstr8kl0wninx that's whats up

  • xrs are pretty impressive for ehat they have under the hood

  • I wouldn't be that happy if I was the 350z owner lol, barely won.

  • who cares about xrs. its still just the bottom of the line toyotas.... oh yea, i forgot the prius took over that name now a days lmao

  • xrs lol weak

  • looks like a laugh from the 350z and then he goes ..ha

  • wtf? well that was interesting

  • these have the same motors as the base cammry's right? so that should be a good motor for a smaller car, i thought it woulda stayed with him better, cause arent these basically competition for si's and golfs and all that?

  • @ElPicheGringo it's a 1.8 liter, not a 2.4...

  • @toyotacorollaman99 , never said it was a 2.4 but its the same 4cyl as the base camry i know what im talking about man. i almost bought one of these then i decided not to be looking like a dumbass that thinks his car is better than it really is

  • @ElPicheGringo ................

umm... no bro, it shares nothing in common with a camry...

to say you know what your talking about you would need to get your facts straight.

    try again!

  • @toyotacorollaman99 Nah hes talking about the new corollas, the one in this race still has the 2zz, the celica engine, but the new ones 08 and above got swapped with the camry motor, a loss of both horsepower and torque

  • @Doggsniper umm 09 xrs has more torque, and i beat 05,06 from grip, however, i never ran one from a dig

  • Everything is relative... Makes me think of when I honestly say to myself : I'm gonna pulverize this Z06 in my stock SS/TC because I feel my car is fast. Sometimes we should just go green and race when it's worth it ;P

  • bye bye VVT-I hello NISMOTEC!!!!

  • its VVTL-i get it right.

  • I really don't care I don't stick 2 slooow VVT-i or VTL-i cars

  • @MrJdm350z Do you realize the 350z barely beat a COROLLA? This is not even the Supra we're talking about here. Imagine what the Supra would do to the archrival 350z? lol.

  • @XRS975 Fail. Archrival? The supra is not the archrival to the 350z in any way. Secondly barely beat ? the 350z pulled and then slowed down . Not even a race. I fucking hate corolla drivers. A fully built one can only run 12's how sad. Imagine a race on a road course . XRS FUCKING FAIL CAR

  • @XRS975 supra doesnt weight what the corolla does. so shit the corolla would do the same to the supra. plus in a race from 40-130 the Z would be so far ahead. this was a from 30-70 weak

  • like when the 350 driver laughs and actually hits the gas... z power!

  • Racing from a roll is not the same as drag racing. You can say you can get whatever 1/4 times you want but actually doing it is a different story.

  • thats not bad for a car with under 160HP

  • his car pushes ~200whp

  • uh oh buddy... you got michealrod started on you now..l.m.ass off. you're in trouble now..This dude knows everything about every car...you shouldn't have even posted a vid of a corolla xr-s rolling with a z..the z guys are gonna hammer you now..Good shyt though. I raced a xrs 2zz when I was stock and had a hell of a time pulling on him. took me till top of 4th

  • check out my friends rsx-s 02 with full bolt ons and no cats. hondata reflash and no passenger seat. on all season tires he ran a 13.9 at 101 against my friends wrx cobb tuned with turbo back. look up wrx vs rsx type s. its a blk rsx and silver wrx at the drag strip.

  • 1.8 l power to weight slightly better than a scion tc. absolutely no torque. stripped celica gt-s could run high 13's. dude i know what im taking about. Z's are in another world respectively. honda K20's make more power and torque anyway. WTF are you talking about.

  • your a little behind out the 2zz info. recently tons of new quality products have came out and we are faster because of it.

  • @magusownz Corollas are quick when tuned and a few bolt-ons, there's just no debating that!

  • Thats a de z not a hr sorry dont even look like a hr

  • Hood's flat that's NOT a HR Z fo sure!

  • Comment removed

  • Not an HR Z

  • lol is that even a hr z? i see a flat hood looks like a DE Z to me :)

  • These 2ZZ motors are used in the Lotus Elise and can BARELY break 240 hp at the flywheel when SUPERCHARGED. my point is that there is no way that car would keep up with according to those mods in the vid. description

  • @aescoblaze03 , thats why i asked if it was FI. with a good driver, R Z's can get in the low 13's. like 13.2-13.4 stock. fastest stock time is 13.1. I have a feeling this corolla is pushin a lil more than 190-200 at the wheels. its possible that this car cud beat a 350, but Im just trying to calculate the mods it has to physics, and it doesnt quite add up. this car is no doubt fast, but I think its running somethin a lil more than what is listed. or the Z driver is less experienced.

  • the tuned corolla couldn't break 13's and the Z will do a 13.7 stock without a tune or bolt ons. that corolla doesn't even have near 200 hp to begin with wtf. anyway, if you look at a k20 honda motor, TUNED they can't even keep up. they barely break 13's.

  • dude for your information, there are corollas already running mid 13 seconds on nothing but natural aspiration (no nos, no turbo, no turbochargers) hondas are great, but corollas are greater. And i've seen a lot of vids of corollas racing against 350z's and infiniti g35 and the corolla always wins (not always obvious) so watch it when you talk.

  • lol quite a few xrs have hit the 13s with less horsepower than I currently have. And I have a recent video of mine when my car made 195whp.

  • your car makes 168-170 hp to the flywheel stock, but with some bolt ons your car makes 195 whp. LMFAO dude and your peewee corollas are but ugly at best.

  • @magusownz

Who cares if they've hit 13's. Can you?

  • yeah I know I can. And for everyone at .3 seconds you can clearly see the bulge in the hood. Also I didn't get a video but from a 45mph roll against a g37 6speed he only pulled a bumper on me up until we shutdown at about 115.

  • @magusownz

a g37 at a 45mph roll ,even will an exhaust on the xrs, would've got atleast 2 or 3 car lengths on you. I've driven a g37 and an xrs. I have nothin against em. In fact i'm a fan of xrs's. But the torque and hp of a g37 wouldve left a xrs. sorry bud.

  • @InsanityRewritten my car has more than just an exhaust...

  • @magusownz

yeah i figured that. i knew that an xrs would have trouble keepin up with a 350z even with a full exhaust.

  • what? this HR has bolt-ons and a tune? i doubt it. he would be puttin down around 300WHP if that was true. i think you would have around 150-175WHP with your mods. this HR shoud have walked you hard. you runnin a turbo?

  • I don't think the vid is forthcoming. Bone stock the HR runs low 13's @ 108+mph. This XRS has a best 1/4 mile of 14.1 @ 98 mph. Just don't add up.

  • No his XRS does not have 175 wheel HP. It is fully tuned 2ZZ with I/H/E that dynos consistently at 195 - 200 wheel HP. Factor in a tuned 8400 rpm rev limit, short 6 speed gearing and 2600 lbs weight and you know why it was neck and neck.

His car is fully capable of running high-13s and has beaten several low-14 secs and high-13 secs car from a roll. I know I saw his race with a stock IS350 (faster than the 350z stock) and it ran neck and neck with it.

  • Yes it is all N/A power from a very high-revving, high-compression Yamaha engine with 1.8 Liter displacement with 230 - 240 HP at the crank (200 wheel HP).

One of the best Toyota engines.

  • @SpeedKlz Um...a stock 6-speed HR Z is equal with a stock IS350. Mid 13's. An HR with bolt ons and tune are high 12's cars, and will definitely easily walk a stock lexus.

  • Man this was the HR with bolt ons and a tune? I take it back my next car will be an XRS! Lol

  • Dude, question, your APEX what model is it? ... i mean i want to buy that for my car but can you help me to tell me what exactly it is i need to buy? please? hehe thanks man , ohh i have an xrs too. 2006

  • nice run there man.
