  • Did you record this video with a calculator? lol

  • Did you record this video with a calculator? lol

  • About the stink.. I started leaving mine outside at night to air out. Never had a problem with stink again.

  • Hey Andrew, do you have any experience playing sports in these shoes? mainly basketball and football?

  • water shoes

  • i've had them for a year now. They ripped near the toe and index finger.....still love em though :)

  • You're a Capricorn aren't you? a Capricorn/sag cusp is my guess.

  • @adesa1 Gemini actually.

  • what shoe IS fun when wet? Id love to know. (dont say water shoes)

  • .....your mouth doesnt match the words u r saying 0.o

  • 4:32 Parkour... Nuff said.

  • One of the best KSO reviews I have seen, considering that you explain all the things you have done with your KSO's; really shows the shoe's true colors vs. the simple out-of-the-box "review" that many people did with these shoes on youtube.

  • I like the thoroughness of the review, just please speak a little faster and less pauses.

  • Use BIKILA LS: Five Fingers version with boot laces and better (imo) waterproofement ;-) One year of daily usage, still no damage. Against the smell: Use a good shoedeodorant, from the first day on and toe socks...every few weeks: wash it with A FEW drops (too much could ruin the material) of essential oils (fabric conditioner cell), or just with normal sport washing gel. Have fun XD

  • Your 6 month old shoes have gone on more journeys and adventures

then I have in 27 years.

  • @JoeCnNd Haha that's crazy! If you ever can make the opportunity to travel, I highly recommend it.

  • @andrewfitz agreed, I went to Europe (7 different countries) on a ambassador trip and I loved every minute of it, if I had the money I would do it again

  • I love the shoes, they work great. A little of the glue that connected the rubber came off but I put it back together with a little industrial strength glue :) it hurt a little when I first used em but after a month and a half they felt so good and natural. The only problem is that people give me a lotta crap about them.

  • My second toe is longer too- It's associated with royalty (but hopefully not with inbreeding. lmao)!

    :)

  • Great review and tips!

  • @keneyed209 I'll look into that, thank you for the tip!

  • i just got a pair of the kso's and went on a run today to try them out and now it feels like my middle toes on my left foot were smashed by a hammer! Did your feet feel like that after you ran in them the first couple of times?

  • @jstrick114 No, they didn't sorry. I wear a lot of flipflops, so maybe my toes are used to being used? No idea why yours feel like that, maybe your body just needs to get used to it. If it persists after a week of use, you might want to ask a doctor.

  • @jstrick114 You are supposed to "ease into them" I imagine that was part of the issue

  • @Arrowstottle haha yeah i'm guessing that was it, i'm also a big guy so i'm sure that didn't help either.

  • @jstrick114 Yeah I weigh 185lbs at 5'10 but I did my first leg work out in these, and wow a little painfull but I am sure my feet have to adjust, the bone's in our feet have to adjust to using the shoes so while they are setting into place it is probably not best to have high impact until our bones have adjusted to the change in shoe's

although so far I am very happy with my new shoes, I am currently on day 3 of wearing them lol it is a bit painfull but still see more positive's

  • @Arrowstottle i'm just a tad bigger than you, 320lbs at 6'3, but they have gotten better since. i have a 3 mile trail i run and i've been using them for as long as i can and when i feel like i can't go anymore, i switch to my nike 5.0s for the rest of the run. most of it is just toughing it out though but after wearing them running and around the house, they don't hurt near as much and neither do i.

  • @jstrick114 lol ye a tad bigger than me I have been doing the same, go as far as I can in them then switching back, so far I have noticed my knee and lower back don't hurt as bad, yesterday sure was a beating though but it was to be expected I was repping 300lb squat's and 700lb leg presses so I know what your going through it felt like my bones were fused together before and now are how they are supposed to be each individual knuckle moves.

idk if you feel the same but I see a positive in them

  • @Arrowstottle I tried something different today and instead of running on the trail I usually do, I ran around the parking lot of my apartment complex using that couch to 5k thing to get used to the shoes and I felt great. The only thing that hurts are my calves and I have a small blister on the end of my big toe. Other than that, I felt a lot better running on asphalt than on dirt! Weird I know but I'm going to keep doing that until I finish the program without pain.

  • @jstrick114 If they are too small put a lighter under the ones that you are uncomfortable in and stretch them out a bit

  • good posts man, think all of your 'build quality' related complaints are due to how you cleaned them. glue def would pull lose if u tumbledry these kinds of things. good luck! :)

  • @arnofourie You're right haha, found out the hard way :/

  • i have 20 pairs, lol

  • marry me?

    backpacking <3

  • my five finger i have 10pairs they are in great shape so screw u

  • @cutehails95 Uh, I washed them and put them in the dryer, it's my fault... but I'm happy for you?

  • @cutehails95 ooooohhhhh soo that explains why most of them are out of stock!!!>:( lol

  • ur to cute

  • excellent review. i am totally gonna pass on these shoes.

  • grate video man this realy helped me make a desision because you realy put hose things through the ultimate test so thanks fror putin it up

  • @disturiba Hey man I really appreciate it, you're welcome. Sorry for the shit video sync.

  • @andrewfitz woo i am from turkey.

  • @MonthuRa awesome, where at? I was in Istanbul only.

  • @andrewfitz i am from the capital, ankara. you have visted the place i have always wanted to! hahah i hope you enjoyed it.

  • Just got mine (same kind). I like them but they are pretty tight, especially around my big toe. Did the shoe as a whole loosen up for you over time and become more loose and easier to put on? Also, the back part is scratching the HELL out of my achilles!

  • @bodine1231 It really didn't loosen up much TBH. It did because easier to put on after wearing it in a bit and stretching the sole a tad, but if it's too tight now, it's not going to get much looser. Yeah, I got some blisters there if I don't wear socks.

  • Backpacking in Shanghai?

    Take me with you.

    SOOO jealous.

    And i <3 KSO

    Try Bikila next!

  • @TabascoCatful Haha you can totally come with next time! What's the Bikila?

  • Shanghai is a big intl commerce urban city, what kind of "backpacking" would you do in a city like that?

  • @xsquid99 It was really only for a few hours actually :P

  • i bet they stink the SH!T

  • @MrJackMeOffski They did, I had to wash them like crazy and fabreeze 'em.

  • curious - you mentioned you walked in snow... how did that work out for you in the kso's?

  • @airbagshowamidriving not good. they're NOT warm at all.

  • Fucking Lag..

  • @Brentyn1985 I know right, seriously.

  • how did you manage to communicate with the natives on your trip? was it expensive?

  • @c0nsci0usness A lot of them spoke broken english, and I learned some turkish for Turkey, but in Thailand and Malaysia, most spoke some English in the cities, so us native English speakers have it lucky.

  • I had my Nike Free for over a year and I walk at least an hour a day. I have the same problem with the glue. I can still wear them. I might try the Vibram's

  • lions in the jungle, wtf?

  • @whitewidow2012 hahaha of course

  • sweet! i just bought some thinking to use them to gradually replace my huge backpacking boots. sounds like they worked out great, huh?!! what type of Injinji socks did you use? i was thinking their thin wool would be best particularly for backpacking.

  • @dvarn yeah they worked pretty good. those might work well, I just just used cotton I think.

  • Great reviews dude. I just ordered my vff's and I'm waiting to give them a go soon. You talked about the smell they could get...so is it better to wear them with socks or bare feet would be fine?

  • @dapm10 I don't think it matters either or, maybe using socks would be less, but they still will smell. Your best bet is to just wash them every so often, Fabreeze works wonders!

  • @andrewfitz Thanks for the tips dude!

  • @dapm10 You're welcome!

  • Did you fuck any whores in Thailand?

  • @unrstone no, too many lady boys.

  • You realize most running shoes must be replaced after 3 to 5 months. If you are doing rigorous activity you might want to keep that in mind.

  • @ShaneConlan Thanks for that insight! I'm not a serious runner, so they last a bit longer for me. If I get at least a years worth out of them, I'm happy.

  • @ShaneConlan

Running shoes need to be replaced often because of support and cushion break down. Since the Vibram has neither, this does not apply.

  • i like how your mouth doesnt match your voice... that realy shows how much effort you put int othe video... lol you should prob fix... (maybe a better backdrop?)

  • @Lukapoo13 I like how you don't bother to capitalize, use full words or spell check... that really shows how much effort you put into your comment ;) Playing aside, thanks for the suggestion, I do plan on re-recording a video while I'm back in CA, I didn't have time to redo a whole 10 minute talk then.

  • @andrewfitz hah! good answere

  • @andrewfitz you outsmarted me i like that =D u have my respect now

  • the glue is coming off because u washed it in hot water. it probably melted the glue a little

  • @WeHaveNoUsername Oh damn, you're probably right thanks - never thought about that.

  • Crap, it's still out of sync.

    @arminom - Nope, I love 'em!

  • do you regret buying vibram five fingers?

  • Yes please, the audio is out of sync and overdriven, that really doesn't sound good.

  • Is the audio on this out of sync for anybody else? Should I redo it all?

  • The audio is off for me as well...

  • @andrewfitz I hope they where able to see your review! :) I was thinking about buying the tequila running shoes....Maybe not such a good idea after listening.

  • @andrewfitz to be honest, yes there is out of sync but it's not worth redoing it.
