it takes more ram to run vista. thats why it takes longer to boot, there is more stuff to it. does vista suck? thats up to the consumer to decide...i have vista and xp, but i realy don't care wich is better

Exactly LOL if I do a boot test of windows 2000 and xp, or even 95 and xp it will be about an equal difference to xp and vista

You can't do a speed Window's XP vs Window's VISTA it's just not a fair comparison vista takes so much longer to startup especially on a UMPC and it was also unfair in 1 more way the unit's were different, i mean your basically ripping on the Ultra and saying it's a piece of shit.

This is not a fair comparison due to the Q1 being notorious for extremely slow boots. all the other vids I have seen of it booting up, it takes forever. Vista is not really a good idea on that machine anyway. XP would be the better choice on UMPCs cause it has a lower spec requirement, and if you could use the same specs needed for vista then you could have a really good XP pc.

Yes, but the whole point is that you shouldn't need 2 gigs for a computer. XP is fine without having to ass another gig just for some stupid gay OS thats shit anyway
