Just because you have a 1500w psu it doens't mean you're using it all nor does your PC use more watt simply because you added a PSU with more wattage output. Actually the efficiency can be a lot better because there's more head room. Less noise = less heat = more efficiency.

no you dont need dual pumps there are some really powerfull out there, you could cool the CPU,

northbridge, southbridge, 2 GPU´s and will do it, no problem but they might be a little noisy so having 2 pumps is more expensive but less noise i guess,

yes man, i have 2 gtx280 and nothing gets stressed at all. just remember to put most of the gtx280 power on the modular blue colored connectors, cuz it overloads the main rail...

but it's certified for tri sli, so it'll handle it in stride man.
