H and Claire killed Steps. They left saying that they wanted their life back, strange then that they quickly formed a duo. They wanted to have a more grown up sound, they had a few hits that still sounded like steps but lacked the fun element. Now 10 years on Steps are back together. The other band members have to forgive that H was dating their manager and keeping it quiet for 3 years and was promoted to more singing. Shame this band ended as they were getting better! That's egos for you!

I think claire and h split cos they were not getting along with faye and lisa.

I watch a lot of their interviews and whenever the girls spoke, faye always complimented lisa and vice versa.

They never compliemented claire apart from a few times. That was confirmed when they admitted they didnt get along. I was a big fan and am glad they are back.

@johnnyleith that's a bit of a one-sided view. the other members of the band clearly resented H and claire singing more than them despite it being clear that they had the best voices. they girls excluded claire and they were barely talking by the end. i doubt any of them were blameless in the split.

@ph888888888 Hi, I think the fact the H was shagging the groups manager led to his vocals being more featured on later tracks rather than his singing skills. The fact that he and Claire kept this realationship with the manager secret sums up what I feel about him. Faye has a strong voice and should never have been sidelined. I do admit that Lee has the weakest voice.
