  • i have played a lot of fighters through the years from most systems old and new and this is seriously one of the best.

  • As for the online lag, I have no problem playing any other game online, but when it comes to this game, the online is just horrible and very laggy. The lag for SSBB isn't even as bad as it is for this game.

  • This is the best fighting game I have ever played. There's only 2 things I have wrong with it. The online lag is horrible and there's no tutorial to explain how to pull off certain moves. Sure, there's practice mode, but I'm talking more along the lines of switching your characters. I've only been able to do it at random times with random movements. I've been able to do it with a certain movement, but it doesn't always work.

  • @Ryanmiller70 Yeah, I was never great at the move combinations in the vs. series. The lag is something I'm not sure what to blame, Capcom, Nintendo or the Wireless on the Wii. Overall, it's not the greatest, though.

  • @BackForwardPunch When it comes to fighters, I've only played the Super Smash Bros. series, and this is far better than any of them.

  • is this better than street fighter 4?

  • @serenaismypooch huge difference in gameplay mechanics, they are very different styles of game, I'd say that is all up to preference. Personally, I prefer Street Fighter IV, but this game is great for people who liked Marvel vs Capcom more than Street Fighter Alpha back in the day.

  • you should go review street fighter 4 now yee yee

  • @jissrag Well, I'll review Super... :)

  • @BackForwardPunch who r ur top 3 characters

  • @zxlr8v77 haven't played too much recently, but I'd say Ken the Eagle, Kaijin no Soki, and Jun the Swan are my 3 best.

  • nice review the combo with jun must be some kind of half circle backward :p

  • sweet review

  • that one combo was sweet

  • Yeah that was lucky!

  • Frank west in this game too,you need a cool fighter to make it a good fighting game. :P

  • Yeah I noticed, but I haven't tried him yet.

  • awesome review!!

  • Thanks a lot, man!

  • that game looks frieking sweet!

  • Yeah, too bad you sold your Wii. For crack.

  • Even Adam Sessler of X-Play gives Tatsunoko vs. Capcom a 5 out of 5!!!!!!

  • Haha and HE sure knows a lot about games! ;)

  • Great looking fighter, will have to pick this one up

  • I agree! finally Wii gets a great Capcom fighter! Since Nintendo didn't get SF4, this is a blessing! I own SF4 for Xbox 360 and PS3 and those are INCREDIBLE! I'm so glad my Wii is getting some Capcom love! C'mon Capcom ... Rival Schools 3 on Wii!!

  • I really, REALLY want Rival Schools 3, but I dunno man, on the Wii? Hmm... Rival Schools was always my favorite series though, can't wait for a sequel!

  • You know, now that I think of it, the Rival Schools series deserves a 3D powerhouse of a console. I guess on the Wii, it would look just a bit better than RS2: Project Justice on Dreamcast. Yeah, you're right ... RS3 needs to be on PS3 or Xbox 360.

  • Hmm, it;s not really the graphics that would make the difference in my opinion, I would flip if they just made the game, I don't care what it was for, but it would suck if I had to buy a new console just to play it, like the DS ir something.

  • Just picked up my copy of this game on Tuesday. I haven't had a chance to spend a lot of time learning the fighting system though. just had a taste. But I will exchange friend codes with you soon. Look for a message from me. When I was a kid I watched a cartoon called BATTLE OF THE PLANETS. Ken the Eagle (Mark), Jun (Princess), and Joe (Jason) are very familiar characters to me! To see them fighting against Ryu and Chun Li brings a tear to my eye! Great review, man!!

  • Thanks man! I have barely touched the system on this as well, but it seems pretty cool for sure! Look forward to some games!

  • Nice review, man. It's a shame this isn't multi-platform cause I'd buy it for the 360 in a heartbeat. Still, it's nice the Wii has its own exclusive fighter.

Oh, and Battle of the Planets ftw! Would have been nice for the Tatsunoko side to add in one of the Samurai Pizza Cats. Would've been a perfect opponent for Viewtiful Joe ^^

  • Haha yeah, that would have really rocked! Or speed racer at least. Better yet, no... Spritle and chim chim!

  • Oh man I think I'm going to just say screw waiting to see if they are going to bring the black Wii to the U.S. and just get one because between the new super mario game and this absolutely stellar looking game it's becoming harder and harder putting off getting one. :-\

  • Both those games are sweet as hell, but if they are coming with it soon, I'd wait! A black Wii looks so cool!

  • When i went down to Mexico, i noticed that everyone there plays fighting games. Everywhere i would go i would see a King Of Fighters arcade, and there would be about 3 or 4 kids gathered around it.

  • I'd heard that! It's too bad for me that it's not like that over here. But I know if I went to Mexico, they'd kick my ass at that game.

  • Dudes you are totally right. We are fighting whores here in mexico , since the 90's you can find a street fighter arcade even at a drugstore. Being a fighting fan myself I got this game and it's fucking amazing, been kicking ass online since release... DRUGSTORE STYLE!!!

  • @Acafer84 man I wish it was like that here. Maybe I should move to Mexico, I speak enough spanish... But yeah this game is pretty sweet! Thanks for watching my review!

  • 5 Stars Bro. Great Review. This game looks fantastic! Do you seriously get a billion points per hit? LOL

  • Haha yeah, I guess that's a joke of theirs. But the game is definitely very cool.

  • Steve, the fighting master! Lol. I just love the retro-80s style music they still put in these titles. I'll never tire of it. Great review! Here's one game I'll gladly add to my Wii wishlist. =)

  • Yeah, you might like it, it's a lot of fun.

  • I should get my US copy here soon....

    :)

    Ill hit you up!

    And then knock you down!

    lol

  • Hehe yeah, should be fun!

  • love your intro with super street fighter 2 for the sega genesis

  • Thanks man!

  • i dont like the new intro the japanese intro is better all in anime the endings for the characters are in anime the online play is good but if one of the players have a slower connection it gets a little bit slow

  • Yeah, maybe that was the case on the first match...

  • Well done man. I pre-ordered this on Amazon, so I should get it this week.

  • Very cool!

  • I really don't get the music choice in japanese fighting games, doesn't really get me in the fighting mood lol. Otherwise, looks like another cool team style fighter.

  • Yeah, it's a lot of fun, I dunno, the music can sometimes be annoying, but sometimes it goes oddly well together.

  • Yeah, finally, but then again the controller so unsuited for it, I hope people will buy the other options and try it out.

  • It seems the classic controller is working for me so far. But would've been nice to see a fighting pad from Nintendo or a licensed madcatz one. The fighting stick is a bit expsnsive. Don't know if I'll cough up the 80 bucks for that. And where the heck is the Prima strategy guide for this game? I was looking forward to a great illustrated book with bios and combo techniiques!! Epic fail, Prima ... Boo!!

  • Weird, I'm not much of a strategy guide guy, but for this game I'm sure it would help a lot. Check out the SRK TvC wiki for the game mechanics, won't help in artwork department though...

  • Strategy Guides are for STONE COLD COWARDS.

  • omg autotune in intro awesome.

  • I love that song at the beginning steve, damn shame you had to fast forward it lol

  • Haha yeah it's catchy, but if I showed the whole thing I couldn't have said anything else. hehe

  • this would be a great one for the stream once atarixs gets his new internet line lol.

  • Yeah it definitely would, hopefully he picks it up.

  • i wont get this till next time i get payed but i want it, i need my cash for my holiday lol and allready have way to many other games im playing.

  • i want to get this game might take a look at it but havnt got my wii online yet.

  • I'm so out of it. I've been looking forward to this game for a while, but I didn't even realize it was out already.

    Great review!

  • You aren't too far behind, it only came out today.

  • Really good review. Tasunoko vs Capcom seems like a really awesome game.

  • Thanks, and yeah it's a lot of fun, if you like fighters you should pick it up.

  • Out here in Europe on Friday, Im thinking of picking it up then if its not too much.

Very interesting to see some footage, and your thoughts on the game; and especially thanks for the info about the online quality. (wonders what the lag would be between the US and UK lol).

I still amazed that they got through most of the copyright tangles to be honest; given how the rights to the various Tatsunoko licences were owned by various companies.

"bet no one will read these"

    Sorry you lose, lol.

  • If you do get it, I'd be interested to try online so let me know. I definitely think it's worth picking up, though I have heard games are more expensive in the UK. I was definitely surprised it ever got imported, but I guess Capcom listened to the fans. hehe btw ^
