University of Miami President Donna E. Shalala offers message to the University community

Please, DO NOT FIRE Donna Shalala. This woman has made education her number # 1 priority and so far she has been extremely successful. Football does not make a school. I hope they get to the bottom of this, and if we get the death penalty, so be it. As long as UM keeps their quest to become the Harvard of the south, nothing else matters. In fact I would hope they drop football, because the distractions have been detrimental to UM. Mrs. Shalala, you are a class act.
