Wasnt scared but worried about my belongings. No damage thanks to apartment management sandbagging my backdoor before I had even got home from work. Was an experience i will never forget.
Atleast I don't live near any of the rvers but my old school that 3 weeks wow it was 5 feet in water by now they are back it was by lake samamish(splled incorrect I bet) those kids were lucky for the first 2 weeks but then they had to go to i think phantom lake
Even worst then 1996's flood.. and look its winter again and horrible wind is a comin lightning i think the power is gonna go out comparied to the 50 mph wind were getting right now i can't believe no tree have fell over yet!
The new FEMA flood hazards map shows much of Pierce County in flood hazard zones. This is a VERY interesting issue, as it:
>> depreciation of property and land
>> limits FEMA flood claims
>> limits rebuildable allowance in the event of loss (to only 40% of market value)
>> limits new development
Problem: sellers not disclosing to new buyers, making yet more flood "victims". Another is that these devalued properties are unfairly assessed (and taxed) at "fair market value".
Didnt get my apt. and just enought o wet the carpet in truck. I can accept that when less than a block north of me some people had 2 feet of water in their homes and lost just about everything. I'am guessing you live between E main and the river ??
Whats the name of the song.
