Best Nu Metal album of the year 2000 (best year for Nu Metal) and they were the ones that went down the most... Now nobody wants to mix kick-ass metal beats with hip-hop lyrics. Personally (and I repeat, personally) I think that was the best blending of styles ever.

I know, all my fave bands have gone and done that, look at lost prophets. their first album, the fake sound of progress, was bloody amazing, and then straight away they sell out.

no they wouldn't. system of a down, slayer, pantera are some bands that kept their style and didn't go out of business for it. their new style is more appealing to the mainstream public/media but its still selling out. I'll keep listening to their first album still though.

@ismaelcrx well, SOAD is lead by legendary instrumentalist and vocalists Serj Tankian and he opened a record label so he could help other people with a different style of music record, he was given a chance and now hes giving i to other people if you listen to his indipendant album you will imediadetly notice the similarity to system, its really good actualy.
