Such a bad ass car! The modern SkyLine does not compare in any way in my opinion! I didn't know they use an L series engine. Thats the same set up I have in my 72 240z. But I swapped for an L2.8. Triple carbs and a long block built to the max!

@hakosuka2 Yeah, those triple carbs take a LONG time to warm up all the way. So much gas is being dumped in that motor, If it's not totally warmed up it will have too much unburnt fuel and spit at you :) Or if the carbs are out of sink , misadjusted , or a poor/weak ignition, that will cause back fires. Again, A LOT of fuel to BURN!!! :) My 72 240Z has the same set up, Does the exact same thing!
