Last year, spent the night on the summit in one of the sleeping circles made of rocks, it was super windy all night, and cold. Great hike, nice video.
@123erinnc awesome view right? The night I stayed up on top, slight breeze on a perfect summer night, the sun set turning the sky into the most amazing sunset Ive seen. The sky had a perfect band seperating the colors blue and pink, it looked like you were on the edge of the atmosphere. In the morning at sunrise thousands and thousands of moths were flying around, size of quarters, smacking into you, they were wet from the morning dew, it was pretty cool. Happy trails
I just got back from my first backpacking trip here. My friend and I hiked up to halfway stayed the night and got to summit the next day. It took us so long to get to summit that when we got back to halfway we ate and had to get back in the dark! That was a scary, scary night! But very proud we made it all the way. :D
I like this video. I'm visiting my brother in Banning, CA tomorrow. He and I (or maybe just myself) will set out early Friday morning 27 Aug to go up Mt. San Gorgonio from the Banning side. May not make to the top, but what the hey.
@dogstar499 Where is the trailhead from the Banning side? I made summit and back on the same day on the Vivian Creek Tr. (Forest Falls side). I did it in early May when there was still lots of snow above 8000'.
