Oh my gosh that is a really stupid move that Oprah made, KFC knows that all of her followers will do anything she says ha ha she says jump and they pull out the trampoline or in this case, the fried chicken. This ISN'T healthy! two pieces of high sodium chicken, two sides and most the people I know would get either mashed potatoes/gravy (high starch, fat, sodium)& mac&cheese (another gluten/fat laden food) with a butter glazed biscuit!? wash it down with a pepsi & you have a 1,200+ calorie meal!

MSG occurs naturally in such foods as soy sauce even organic soy sauce. Do you think that people should not eat soy sauce? Or is you contention that this is simply too much msg?

it does occur in small amounts, but personally, i do usa a little soy sauce every once in a while. but when you consider i eat almost NO processed food, which is LOADED with msg, it works out quite well in the end. The amount of msg in food has been steadily growing since it first came out. It causes obesity, blindness, migraine headaches, and the list goes on. It's a crying shame when an incredibly popular personality, who has been the most powerful vehicle for personal growth and development, promotes such poor food choices for Americans, which then causes lines around the block of fast food joints. Given that she has had such a struggle with her own well-being it's interesting to see her be a spokesperson for anything "healthy." actually come to think of it, i think there is more to it than just flavour enhancement... if it's an excitatory chemical, it works with the rewards system of the brain and thus has a potential for addiction (like cocain for example)... so putting MSG into food could serve two functions, 1 is flavour enhancement, and 2 is addiction to the food... :S, now u can see the reason why MSG is found almost in every food :(
