Update. I found J.A. Beiser who scratched his name in the wall 66 years ago and received an email from his son, Dave. John Beiser was attached to the 4th Marines. The 2nd and 4th Marines attacked the beaches on June 15, 1944 and John was there. He knew that date was (and still is) important and he was proud to be a part of D-Day in the Pacific. I am also proud of him and the others in the 2nd and 4th Marines. John doesn't remember putting his name here but this will become his Saipan memorial.
Hi again Eric,,Ive been given permission to obtain a few holiday brochures next week (re Saipan),,We would be looking at AUG-DEC 2011.. In your opinion is there a better month within those 4 months to visit? Thank you so much for your patience and answers,,,and if im not being too much of a pest I would certainly love to pick your brains concerning our holiday over the next few months.Thanks Eric kind regards Graham
