I never ran into that personally, growing up in the 80's and 90's, i always gravitated torwards people who were hardcore gamers ( Arcade & Home players) Hell, there were Arcades in every Pizzeriaback then as well,lol. NYC has always been a hotbed for gamers.

You're right about that. But "games being cool" is still relatively a new thing. Ten years ago, being a gamer made you a target in high school and WASN'T cool. And the idea of girls playing games (not casually) was almost unheard of. Not until the PS2/Xbox-Original generation did we ever really see girls playing games (or admit to playing them). So the idea of a "girl gamer" is still also, relatively new.
But I give you respect for being a true, legit, old-school gamer.

Thus, the majority of gamers are going to be men who don't know how to talk to a woman, or resent being single. A girl (especially a pretty or un-fat one) is only salt in the wound. It's just common sense.
@maestro3555 (Sorry for the late reply.) As expected, the Nintendo Wii has done well because of it's mass marketing and casual gaming side of things. I have a Wii and personally I find it sad that none of the newer games appeal to me that much, however I can see why Nintendo have taken this step. Xbox 360 remains true to it's fans and mainly the FPS genre, as have Sony, however Sony's fanbase is now much smaller, strange considering the success of the PS2.
@maestro3555 Yeah, if you were to go purely on sales though, unfortunately the PS3 seems to be losing out. However the sales for the PS3 are catching up, I'm not sure how likely it is they'll get past the 360 however we'll just have to see with the release of things like the Move vs Kinect and so on.
I would pick the xbox over the rest. I was incredibly dissapointed with the wii and the only game i would probably play on it would be Okami while the rest of the games i've played or seen seemed pretty childish or simply boring or crappy. The ps3 i think will be great as soon as more comes come out for it.
well actually the graphics between the ps3 and xbox are pre different i believe, if u look closly to the textures on the walls ect (walk your character up to the wall) nd the ps3 has a better graphics as its less pixly from a close distance and a better glow affect in general i like the ps3 and xbox 360 the ps3 has a better feel for the fps range of games. so yea a good game to compare the graphics between them is final fantasy 13 try it out if u have it XD :D

I personally was never able to give fair comparisons or judgment when it comes to the console wars. Mainly because I'm a Nintendo fan all the way. I was never able to get any fun out of the PS2 or Xbox1. So I never bought the PS3 or 360. I've had my 360 for 4 years and have never had any problems. I thought about getting a ps3 but I already have a blu ray player and all the best games come out on both consoles so I never did. How is that motion sensor stuff? I've never used it but it seems like it would bother me having to move my arms around.

I've had my 360 for 4 years and have never had any problems. I thought about getting a ps3 but I already have a blu ray player and all the best games come out on both consoles so I never did. How is that motion sensor stuff? I've never used it but it seems like it would bother me having to move my arms around.

it may be that there is a lot of gamer girls, but, i bet non of them is from de 16bit era much leess from the 8 bit era, there was, were real veterans were build up, like playing rambo or contra, or f zero or sonic.
remember better graphics dont make better games. wii its fine but too much FK"·!" minigames, 360 is just FPS and ps3 dammed its too expensive and does not have many library. ehh now days consles market sucks.

When you played games an the wii don't matter we are not even on that. I know exactly what 360 has along with the number of exclusives that are not actually exclusive. An you should stop believing everything you read an try to experience it for yourself. I have not once had an issue with a multiplatform game that didn't have the same issue on the 360. An I could list the PS3 exclusives but I don't have enough room or all day. Lack of true gameplay quality? you need to stop kidding yourself.
