Ha ha, awesome video man! I wanted a Hapopelma, but as a first time T owner, I wanted something that I could handle, though I don't handle it often, so I went with the all-safe and beautiful (though not as luminescent) brachypelma smithi. Nice video, thanks for sharing :D
lol must of been hungry to destroy its web like tht my P. cambrdgei does that through the web funny watching it trying to play tug a war with its own web
haha brilliant... cobalt blues are amazing predators,... so fast and mean..i haven't seen my lividium hunt from its burrow yet but i cant wait until i do...
Came back to mention that i recently got a Blue Cobalt too, 2,5" just a baby still, with an attitude xD I keep it in a 20x18x17cm tank with 3'' husk substrate to begin with, and a lil burrow i prepared myself. One day after its arrival, i had the opportunity to observe a similar piece of action, when i tossed a grasshopper in, and i remembered your video, so similar and the speed... goodness its a fast lil devil!!!
Stupid cricket. They have no ground game. If they knew any MMA training, they could submit that tarantula easily. Look how many legs you could put into an armbar and make him tap out.
i need help :/ iv had my cobalt blue fore like 2 months or so now n it wont web or nythin, i keep the tank humid n it has deep substrate but she wont dig either, i made a retreat in the corner if the tank for her and she spends most of the time in there but there very little webbing. im going to re-arang it abit put more stuff in there fore her to hid in or under but other than that i dunno wat to do reli.
ye i have lol its made a thin layer in yje burrow walls but thats it, iv also gave it purt of a plant pot to hide under but she never leaves her hole in the corner lol
Shit, I know already that lividum's are very fast, but omg thats fast. Lucky you. I owned a G.rosea few years back, she got sick and never recovered (rip) but congrats on a lovely specimen =)
you do not have to watch, asshole. I love keeping tarantulas because they're clean, quiet animals. If you do not like it, I recommend you dogs, or fucking disgusting cats. That's all.
Hmmmm nice. Me and my bro actually own a number of tarantulas. We have 2 H. lividums. 1 is unsexed and is about 2in in leg span. The other is about 6in in leg span and is a female. I believe it is ready to mate.
Wow! What an amazing, beautiful creature! I can't believe how fast it moves - I wish my scorpions were that motivated... I might have to put some prozac in their water lol.
Nice, Beautiful, very good hunter/eater. our chilean rose haired's are the same way, the hide out under a rock and its like lightning when they're ready. good stuff man, we're tryin to get a cobalt blue as well, my favorite's.
that was so fucking cool!!!!!!I got my lividum yesterday and im shit scared of her. My goliath is like a school girl compared to her! I literally jumped when she attacked! Dude that vid was the best yet!
Wow see that spider go!!!!. Is it a female? what temp do you keep it at? do you mist? and was that a roach? lots of questions lol. Mine hasnt burrowed yet but made a home under half a coconut shell, she makes a web curtain and darts out to feed, not as quick as yours though.:0)
She sure can move!!! She is a she, adult female with around a 5" legspan. Temp is my room where I keep all my T's ranges from 75 to 85. The only T's I mist on a regular basis are my arboreals as they dont have a water bowl. I will mist around a molt to increase humidity but other than that just use a largish water bowl. If I find she spends alot of time around the water bowl I will then increase the humidity my misting.
Thanks for that, Im pleased with the way this one turned out, apart from the reflections, but I will work on that for future vids. Been trying to film my OBT today but she didnt want to come out!!
I've never jumped so high in my life. That songswitch really caught me off guard XD

It's a shame you couldn't have played it again in slow motion. But full marks (and five stars) nonetheless.
