@BuzziMuzzi AIR's anime was made in 2005. That's hardly old. I don't think they really have an excuse, other than trying to keep to the style used in the 2000 Visual Novel. xD Skip Beat is also a typical shojo manga. Most shojo manga look like that. But at least Skip Beat!'s style had women's noses below their eyes instead of in between them.

and whenever they adapt a VN into an anime,they usually make the op sequence look like the op from the VN.

@Dream1Eater It's okay, but hard to follow at times. But this is a Key/Visual Arts story, so expect your feelings to get repeatedly gut-punched. I also recommend watching Kanon, Clannad (probably their best work), and Angel Beats.

@XDlANIMEfanlXD I don't mean it like that. I understand that things go wrong sometimes. I've watched tragic ending shows before. What I want to understand is what do people like about this show so much. I mean, why did the guy turn into a bird anyway? That part I just don't understand at all. Everything else, well, instead of being tragic, everything that could go wrong did. Most tragidies build up to a point, and then make you sad, but this continued for a number of episodes.

Someone help me out here. AIR wouldn't have made my top 10 anime, but it still had potential to be a see again anime, I mean it had all the elements to be a great story. Then, at the end, I was just watching to finish the anime, hoping for something magical to fix this disaster. WTF!? The guy and girl start to like each other, girl gets sick, guy turns into bird, mom and girl make up, girl forgets mom, mom and girl make up again, girl dies in mom's arms, WTF!? Clannad is the one for you. Air didn't make me cry due to the shortness and the randomness of the ending. (Yeah, heartless, I know.) However, Clannad is a show of life, mixed emotions, and beautiful love <3 Watch it. AAnd then if you haven't cried yet, watch AfterStory.

fuckign key animation. first air makes me hate myself, then kannon(2006) makes me hsate myself even more, then they make clannad after story, and let me clarify ive onyl cryed 4 times while watching a show/movie/anything and clannad after story is responsible for 3 of those.

still key relay is the only writers that cna handle emotional every time. its amazing that they actualy waste their talents on hentai games. seriosuly tohugh make more non hentai game swiht no fanservice like clannad more

I watched this at the beginning of summer and BAWLED. Not gonna lie. :') and LOL I cried my heart out on Clannad, Kanon, and Air. Haha I guess I have enough tears to spare. When I'm older and I forget all about these animes I hope I'll find myself watching them again. <3
