we have had this same situation on a support call at work. the IT guy (thankfully as a programmer i just write code and dont have to deal with these dipshits) tells the person to bring up a browser, person has no idea what that is, he says "do you have an icon on your desk with a blue E in it" they go "oh yeah the button for the internet"

the worst part is i spend a lot of time case hardening our software against the most genius of hackers and this is our clientele.
