St John will be doing Duke, any moron would know that Duke cannot exist without his voice without suffering a massive backlash in anger and hatred from the gaming world.

The 'rumor' of bullshit only sprang forth because either 1. St Johns' voice HAS changed a bit from age so it's not '100%' the same, people whined. 2. The possible explanation is that they wanted him to exert more realistic emotions into the voice of Duke.

@Mounce2 Your second point is basically what happened. There was a interview with Jon St. John very recently in which he said that they wanted him to put more emotion into the voice of Duke Nukem thus sounding different from the monotone voice in Duke Nukem 3D.

Just compare any of the new lines from the DNF website to DN3D and you'll notice that some of them sound strikingly different in tone.
