@wtfjaftw No it's owned by Russian, Ukranian oligarchs, Arab sheiks, and other incredibly wealthy business men, multinationals. Who all leave russia, ukraine and middle east because of corruption at the highest levels of govt and political instability . Being such a diverse city of course you will have some tension occasionally but it's better than Moscow where corrupt police will shoot you in the head. I'm an Engineering student and all E. European colleagues tell me they'll not return.

I agree the riots likely represent a sort if "insurrection" on the part of the poor, abused and voiceless. though I do think it's a shame that their anger is so misdirected.
