So Michael, Thelma, J.J., and Willona all had the same teacher in the sixth grade

To answer to Florida's question about how long that teacher has been at that same school. Willona was born in 1945 and was probably in the sixth grade back in the mid-1950's. J.J. was born in 1956 and Thelma was born in 1957 (the same year as me). So J.J. and Thelma were in sixth grade back in the late 60's, and Michael was in sixth grade back in the mid 70's. So I would say she's been there for 19 years.

I liked Good Times in the beginning when all the episodes were funny. But after they killed off John Amos' character, James Evans, the show simply went down the tube. It wasn't as funny as it used to be.

That's how parents handled their kids who got in trouble in school. My parents were know exception. Nowadays, instead of taking responsibility, they go running to a lawyer or to the ACLU saying that their "rights were being violated." Well what about the rights of the other person that they violated? It's no wonder that kids are out of control today. The teachers don't have control of the classroom anymore like they did back then.

I loved this show (Good Times), and many others as I enjoyed the comedy and learned so much real life too by these great stories played out by outstanding actors of their generation. I was a teenager going to high school while these shows first aired. At that point I had been taught total trash.

In fact, I notice how it dulls my friend's childrens' brains. If anything at all that garbage on TV teaches the youth how to be disrespectful, foulmouthed, rude, ignorant, selffish, arguing, and so much more negativity.
