  • Worst Megadeth song ever. I love the shit out of this band, but this is NOT Megadeth.

  • @rgard sure, this isnt really megadeth's sound.. but still. its a great song.

  • Q LIND TEMA

  • That was my life right there! and many others that like the song. I had nothing!

  • !,,!

  • COME ON!!!, THIS SONG IS GOOD, IS BETTER THAT OTHERS!!!!!, WHO WERE THE 44 STUPID PEOPLE!!! WHO DISLIKES THIS!!!!!, THEY PREFER JUSTIN BIEBER AND LADY GAGA!!

  • Dave's just a real guy. Speaks to us all.

  • Only 170,000 views? And some of the crap these days (or even some from that time) is getting millions of views. What the hell's wrong with people's ears?

  • fuck metallica!!! dave mustaine is a GOD!!!!!!

  • @darwinraystewart28 C´mon! not again that crap!

    fuck u kid hehe

  • dave mustaine god!

  • !,,!

  • Its getting very boring all this talk about who`s best i say both megadeth and metallica rock , so 2 great bands lets get behind both ALL HAIL METAL !!!!!!!!!!

  • @guitarist100

megadeth are best in the studio, metallica live are a godlike entity

  • @Mustainecakes ... on the other hand, YOU r a complete asshole hahaha

  • ]^[egadet]-[ is freaking awesome!!! im glad my boyfriend introduced meh to them!! i love them now!! <3

  • Risk > Rust in Peace

  • @FissionMailed HELLLLLLL NOOOOOOOOO

  • lawl at fanbois, the truth is that metallica's best albums are the ones with Mustaine in it (Kill em All and Ride the Lightning and some songs in master of Puppets)

Also, Metallica's best treasure right now is called Robert Trujillo but taht's just my opinion

  • @Zeiferxxx Naw man...ReLoad and St.Anger are the full-on shit...jkz jkz. Yeah Rob's acoustic skills as well as bass skills are badass. PLUS he plays like a BEAST (to be more specific, an ape).

  • @Zeiferxxx dave mustaine had nothing to do with master of puppets

  • @sexybeast507 yea, sorry about that, just parts in Leper Messiah.

  • @hepatitis123 Not at all, and I say that because I'm not fucking retarded

  • @stackmeister if it wasn't for Metallica this song wouldn't exist....so please stfu

  • @Pushbiscuit4ever You mean if it wasn't for Dave Mustaine, Metallica wouldn't exist.

  • Who gives a fuck about critics, i fuckin love this album.

  • Love the phasing in this song!

  • killer solo

  • puto es el que no le gusta esta cancion

  • I'd say it's pretty hard to classify Risk by one genre. I think you have to judge each song on its own laurels:

    Insomnia - Industrial/Hard Rock

Prince of Darkness/Wanderlust - Hard Rock

    Enter the Arena/Crush 'Em/Breadline - Pop Rock

The Doctor is Calling - Doom Metal

    I'll Be There/Ecstasy - Pop

    Seven - Blues Rock

Time: The Beginning - Folk Rock

Time: The End - Heavy Metal

  • @Wrathmont313 prince of darkness is heavy metal and crush em is industrial rock or metal

  • 666 th. comment! \m/

  • i like this song.....

  • I actually like this song alot, very true meaning. Megadeth till I die

  • I like this album allot . Though it is my second to least favorite megadeth album

  • I love the fact that Megadeth had the balls to experiment with something new and it sound awesome. Cristina Scabbia singing along on A Tout Le Mond was also great. I want to see either Shania Twain or Christina Aguillera join Dave on Black Curtains.

  • @TheInamanica that would be pretty cool yeah

  • @TheInamanica That's a weird combo haha.

  • @TheInamanica NOOOOOO that was terrible, the orignal was miles better.

  • after the metallica Lars comment about him not taking risks. hence this album. it wasnt his best. but MegaDeth went back to metal and Metallica went making music for radio and elavators.

  • @Jvanner

You're right, except for the last part. You mean you haven't heard Death Magnetic?

  • Absolutely horrible

  • i love risk, i don't care what people think. sounds a little bon jovi-ish

  • risk = load's metallica

  • temazooooo!!!

  • Risk is one of the better albums put out. It may not have been the most successful album, but it is loaded with great songs. There's only 1 song I don't like. That says a lot about Megadeth.

  • @LRSS2455

People who don't like Risk are the ones who don't appreciate real talent.

  • @DimebagVision Lol no....

  • @DimebagVision lol no

  • There are 4 good songs off this album: Insomnia, I'll Be There, Breadline and Ecstasy. No doubt this is the best of them. But what genre would you call this?

  • @MrDrunb Metal Megapop?

  • @MrDrunb Its kind of like Hero of the Day. Easy thrash???

  • @lipoicacid It sounds sort of pop-ish hard rock... but is there a genre for that?

  • @MrDrunb yeah the Bon Jovi genre

  • @Dethhead1983 I'm pretty sure Bon Jovi is not a music genre, but correct me if I'm wrong.

  • Just like the best song off this album. It sound like it should have been on Cryptic Writings.

  • ugh..wtf

  • temazoooo! aguante megadeth!

  • This is a great song. Risk is a awesome album like all of megadeth

  • Risk is actually my favorite megadeth album lol.

  • @realityorfiction It's a good album. I don't know why everyone hates it.

  • @gazmetal jealous or just typical stubborn metal fans.

  • @realityorfiction is because you like mainstream songs

  • @thecuani Yea and I think Justin Beiber is awesome.

  • megatallica

  • This really isnt megadeth:(

  • why does everyone hate risk? its different yes! but as an overall album I think its really good. same thing with youthanasia brilliant album. they should both get alot more credit!

  • @pompeykev86 True... I think the one that truly disliked this album is Mustaine lol. Youthanasia was way better than Risk though, but they were both over 5/5 stars.

  • Meh... not for me.

  • i love the virsitility of megadeth this song is a good step in a different direction. dont get me wrong i luv some old school megadeth but this is such a break through. it says u can be the coolest heavy metal band ever but its still cool to step out of ur comfort zone and try something different to me this album is a statement that says we can do anything and still kick serious ass. im a metallica junkie but megadeth takes the cake when it comes to diversity and virsitility.

  • great song commercial

  • if anyone says this album sucks because it's a step in another direction, I blame Marty Friedman.

  • @999storm999 Why because he left the band afterwards? I think the producers were more of a strain on the band because they were expecting a certain "sound" from them. Every note Marty wrote for this band was gold.

  • @999storm999 dave was like dued i thot u said this was gonna be successful

  • First and foremost, Megadeth is thrash metal, but god damn, this is one hell of an album, and I wouldn't mind if Megadeth did the rest of their work this way :)

  • @SickShizta i would i like their music

  • This sounds a lot like U2 or Pink Floyd... absolutely beautiful.

  • @MrDrunb I would say it sounds like something Dream Theater would do in the 90s, as Dave said in 2005 during Gigantour fans of Megadeth have really liked Dream Theater and he had known Mike Portnoy for a while and they became great friends but when he had left, I was feeling sorry for Dave

  • @zonic26 Dunno... Lol do you know how much he didn't like this album?

  • @MrDrunb You talkin' 'bout Dave or Mike?

  • @zonic26 Dave. If you get the CD version, read the inside cover (every album from 1985-2001 [I'm pretty sure these are the years] has a foreword from Dave)... I'ts kinda funny actually, what he says.

  • @MrDrunb I have all the albums (including the 2004 remaster ones, not originals) and the inside covers are in the years 1986 - 1999 (Peace Sells...But Who's Buying? - Risk) which are all the Capitol albums, Killing Is My Business (1985) was with Combat (Loud on the 2002 remaster) and The World Needs A Hero (2001) was never remastered as it was with Sanctuary records so Dave's notes on remixing each album are in Capitol albums remastered, but I now remember his complaints on Risk's songs.

  • @zonic26 Well I was close..

  • keep dancing on the breadline

  • Risk is my of my favorite albums actually. I understand why people complained about it why it came out, it's a lot different than the 'usual' Megadeth stuff but it's still great music.

  • I GOT NO JOB GOT NO SMOKE

  • If I closed my eyes and listen to this for the first time, I would probably say:

"Hey this is good unknown Jon Bon Jovi song!"

So yeah, Megadeth could do both genres, but they just excelled at Heavy.

Also hard to do much really wrong with this epic lineup!

  • @barath4545 lol you can tell its dave

  • @XxMETALLICAFAN9xX Yes you can tell its him when you know it, but if its a rock song, Dave wouldnt be the first guy that popped up in your head. Just saying he sings as great as those classic rock stars here and its hard to tell its Megadeth until you hear it a second time(if you heard it "blind"(without knowing the song at all and you only caught it on radio) the first time)

  • Great job, Dave,,, great band. Kicked outta metallica,, like being kicked outta the boy scouts,, sure its a great organization,, but there are many like it,, perhaps smaller,, but every bit as good. At least ya havent made a crybaby movie yet where the blue collar people that buy your albums are supposed to feel sorry for your 7 figure income. Poor Lars, had to sell garbage art he paid millions for,,, he should contact sally struthers soon for help.

  • who gives a fuck about metallica megadeth is awesome

  • @stackmeister duuuumb

  • @stackmeister if there wasn't a metallica there would be no megadeth dipshit

  • @stackmeister I give a fuck about Metallica :P But Megadeth is awesome.

  • And Megadeth fanboys take the piss out of Metallica for veering off the track of Thrash...

  • @metallicafan003

Megadeth literally said they wrote this album to top the charts and Dave Mustaine also admitted it wasn't a metal album (for which he actually apologized) and TBH it doesn't matter because Megadeth can actually come up with a meodic rock song without losing that raw Megadeth sound.

  • @999storm999 I don't really care anymore, I like both bands, they both have there good points and bad points, but Dave does cry about being kicked out of Metallica too much.

  • @metallicafan003 james was crying about it as well

  • @dgenxboy I know he was at the time, but he doesn't any more... unlike Mustain

  • @dgenxboy James? you mean Hetifield, MacDonough or LoMenzo?

  • @metallicafan003 at least when Megadeth did hard rock they were actually good compared to Metallica.

  • @nadman14

Matallica can't perform Hard Rock ?

Maybe you just wanted to be funny (or to look cool, because this is a Megadeth song i don't know...), but still I don't agree with you. I'm sure you're talking about the Black Album, but have you really ever listened to "Load", which is definitely an awesome hard rock album.

Stop arguing about "Megadeth is better than Metallica blablabla", you're ridiculous cause they both rock so the only thing you're doing is insulting metal.

  • @LFJfromGDR i never said metallica sucks. i personally prefer metallica over megadeth. I just said that megadeth did hard rock a hundred times better than metallica. Load was pretty crap for a hard rock album in general. Risk was a lot better. having said that, i think that metallica,s first 4 albums destroy everything megadeth have ever done with the exception of maybe Peace Sells. thats was an amazing album.

  • @nadman14 lol load and reload was dec... king nothing, until it sleeps, etc

  • @nadman14 the very 1st album is Mustaine's compositions. you can clearly figure out which one is mustaine's work in there... listen to those typical mustaine solos.

  • @nadman14 A matter of opinion.

  • @metallicafan003 indeed. although my personal fav thrash band is Overkill.

  • Tears on my face.

  • i love how this is megadeth worst album

BUT IT KICKS SO MUCH ASS!!!!

  • i love this song first time i heard it was when i was 12 too ]v[egadet]-[ its a great song

  • i love this song first time i heard it was when i was 12 too ]v[egadet]-[

  • Nr. 1 Cryptic Writings

    Nr. 2 Risk

Nr. 3 So far, So good, So what?!

  • :35 hey its chris broderick!

  • @CameronWasmund haha, anthony kiedis

  • i first listened to this song when i was 12. not remembering the title of the song. and now here it is. thanks

  • @AfyQ How old are you now? I guess you have been listening to Megadeth for years depenind on your age

  • @zonic26 22.

  • @AfyQ so it was 10 years ago you first listened to this song, it woulda been after Risk was released.

  • @zonic26 a whiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiile after Risk was released i shall say.

  • Arguably the greatest thrash metal song of all time.

  • There's a difference between how Megadeth did pop and how Metallica did pop. Megadeth did it well. I'm not dissing Metallica at all, I just like their older stuff better. I think it was good that they both experimented with different styles, but Metallica hasn't gone back to their roots like Megadeth did. Great song, great album.

  • @mihadude amen.

  • Megadeth was highly experimental with Risk. Clearly, they know how to nail just about any genre they wish

  • @somguy33

I don't know dude, Risk had some bad tunes... not this one though.

  • @somguy33 it still kiced ass

  • i know the 2 kids in this video his name was patato. i think he died. one with gf and lip ring at 112

  • how come this video isnt on arsenal of megadeth?

  • @kjf2able I heard certain videos aren't on Arsenal Of Megadeth due to copyright problems of songs featured in movies (unknown how No More Mr Nice Guy and Go To Hell got on there), Angry Again and 99 Ways To Die aren't on that DVD because they are the songs I found out which had the copyright problems and Moto Psycho (of The World Needs A Hero), Die Dead Enough and Of Mice And Men (of The System Has Failed) aren't because those albums weren't with Capitol, Crush 'Em and Breadline, unknown reason

  • Megadeth's version of runaway train

  • This shows that Megadeth can make even great pop songs. Much better than the nowadays crap.

  • @papirgrauzis You're right i like the way Megadeth made a pop rock like this one.

  • Comment removed

  • Great Song!,Great Album!,Great Band!,

    Enough Said

  • This was a necessary step for the band. Back in the 1999, metal was basically dead. Everyone was into rock, hard rock, alternative rock, pop... if Megadeth had put out a metal record that year, and would've done worse than Risk, which by the way, actually went gold and was one of their best selling records.

Also, on a personal note, this CD has many songs that really speak to me musically (and lyrically, sometimes). I just get goosebumps listening to this and Time: The Beginning.

  • sounds like bon jovi

    <3 it!

  • @pjkr123 omg dont offend this song

  • For musicians, quitting drugs is the worst decision you can make.

  • @ImmortalDestructor You obviously are not a musician.

  • @mecanos28 For alot of musicians, their music really sucks after they quit drugs.

  • @ImmortalDestructor Not in megadeth or metallica's case. Well, it al depends in the sound you prefer.

  • @ImmortalDestructor I agree with you for most musicians. However I believe Dave stands in contrast to that matter. The fact that Dave did drugs IN MY OPINION did not have a positive effect on his music.

Dave's Drive was spirited by revenge and determination to show the world he was talented. He had something to prove and that is what drove him. Drugs tear you down, they don't make you better.

If anything Drugs slowed him down and delayed his success, in business, family and music.

  • This is a good tune. Not your typical Megadeth but still good. As always, a strong message and that nice saturated sound I like.

  • my favourite song about megadeth,he's sexy haha.

  • I had no idea this song had a video. If there ever was a "crossover" song for Megadeth, this would be it. As much as I love Melallica, this is a trillion times better than "Enter Sandman". So sad so many deaf fuckheads could not find the charm in this superb song!

  • deadly tune

  • Very Cool song, thanks for posting it. Much Megadeth love homies.

  • the gay side of megadeth!

  • @thejesusnet the gay side of you is.....ah your just gay

  • @soap797 fucking pendejo

    GAYGAYGAY! you daddy is gay!

  • @thejesusnet learn to speak english you retard

  • @soap797 I know how to speak english You stupid Mega-fan

  • @thejesusnet Just shut up fagget

YOU think you fucken know everything you worthless scum

    pinche puto.

just like noobbooB said.. dont like it, dont listen to it.

    Nobody likes you.

  • @arrierin1 I can't figure out how this guy can watch videos even though he thinks they're gay, thejesusnet If you think this ]\/[EGADET]-[ song is gay then don't hear it!!!! c'mon then go hear the PussyCatDolls if you think that's manly enough for you... By the way I know spanish sucka!

  • @Elitemaster96 Pussy Cat Dolls?? See who´s the gay one! I dont listen to PCD thank you HOMO

  • @thejesusnet Don't like it? Dont listen to it. Simple as that.

  • @NoobbooB fuck yourself....simple as that

  • @thejesusnet

    Lol, umad.

  • sounds like allmost honest

  • Megadeth for fucking life. Fuck all haters. FUCK EM ALL.

  • this is what marte wanted to do so thats wat they did

  • @Megadeth12211

actually it was what the manager wanted

  • @rorronator1 There was allot more to it than just marty and the manager. You are both right of course, but there is also quite a back story here involving dave, but i don't want to spill it :)

  • slow and cool for headbanger..nice song and lyric

  • According to Wikipedia, the version of this song which is on Marty's solo album Future Addict is a heavier version than this, I think the remastered is heavier and his version is supposed to be a j-pop kind.

  • Why is the intro edited out?

  • great song, not necesarilly heavy but really cool music and lyrics

  • Good!

  • I like this album, I don't know why everyone else doesn't like just because it's not heavy, jeez bands evolve get over it, if you ask me i think that's a good think because the people want to hear something different

  • @munruthel1 What the fuck? Do you know what it feels like when your favourite speed/thrash band starts to make poprock that 10y old girls like? It's fucking bullshit!

"people want to hear something different" -Megadeth fans want to hear Megadeth.

If you want something different, pick a different band.

  • Oh shut up, yeah I know what it's like, bands evolve so get over it, if you wanna listen to the thrash listen to the thrash, hell so far so good so what was my favorite album, and if you're tired of listening to the music, hell just pick up an instrument and try to figure out some of the songs, this isn't pop rock either, it's called ALTERNATIVE, it's what went on in the 90's.

  • @munruthel1 Heavy Metal was still alive and well in the 90's. The problem is most people that say metal was dead in the 90's were the mtv addicts and mainstream media junkies. THe 90's were an awesome time for metal. I love your advice about picking up an insturment, i could not agree more with you.

  • @ToxikAssault Then go listen to a loser ass band thats sounded the same their whole career.
