  • Chappelle brothers are their own biggest fans

  • Its amazing how many demonstrations of behavior there are that would be considered well outside the 'Spirit of Cricket' protocol that exists now.

  • Jeff Dymok told me about this game at a clinic

  • @qldbulls7 I went to the clinic too! epic!

  • Anyone here know Paul Twible

  • cricket in the 1970,s and early 80,s was so awesome just pure flair and excitement because all of the sides where bloody good simple great brand of cricket . cricket today is far too orthadox and down right boring puts me to sleep .

  • Geoff Dymok is currently my year 7 teacher. He learnt to bowl when he was rond' 14-15. ^^ he is pretty kewl.

  • @SammBam92 Lol he came to my town for a bowling clinic. does he teach in Brisbane i live in Emerald

  • i met geoff today he talked about it too

  • Great entertainment. Cricket was very good back then.

  • I met geoff dymock (queensland) today. He talked about this match

  • I saw Thomson bowl at Headingley when Boycott got his hundredth hundred. I wish I'd seen Lillee. Those two were legends.

  • @FIFTY2WEEKS how fast was he ?

  • "An extraordinary match the likes of which I am sure we will never see again"

I wouldn't be too sure of that, games like this happen quite often actually.

  • i'm surpirsed to see tony grieg speaking on this vid as if he were there; i know he might have spent the winter in australia, but was he actually at the ground, he's talkign like he was

  • I heard that when WA were bowled out for 76 a lot of people left the ground, expecting QLD to win easily, Chappell and Richards were in their mid 20's at the peak of their careers.

  • Jeez, the commentary by Bob Simpson is irritating. He does nothing but talk over the top of Bill Lawry!

  • Totally agree! Bill Lawry is my favourite commentator and Bobby Simpson is just an annoying prick in this video!

  • Did you see Lillee's bouncers versus Richards ?

  • wonderful. I remember this like it was yesterday.

WA went on to beat Victoria in the final in another low scoring cliffhanger.

  • And how's the guy with the limp struggling to keep up with the younger fans at 6.48? Must really like his cricket, good on him.

  • @joetyer Yeah saw that Lol....those were the days ...miss them heaps !!!!

  • @joetyer I love hopalong!!!

  • Gotta love Bill's commentary at the death: "Lillee has won this game off his own bat by bowling W.A. to victory!" Well...you get the gist. More like a victory for emotion over mixed metaphors.

  • BEYONDTHEPALE1 do you have the complete game..or atleast the complete highlights...

  • No. I'm sorry.

  • I remember watching this game as a young teenager. Probably the most incredible sporting performance I have ever seen. I still remember it today. There was only one man at that ground that thought victory was even remotely possible. Viv Richards and Greg Chappell in the batting lineup. It seemed impossible. This was more than a sporting performace it was about never giving up no matter what. Dennis Lille: The greatest bowler of all time.

  • Did Chappelie find the priesthood?

  • Second to watch :)good video mate.

  • First to Watch!!!!!!!!!!
